Do You Tip Your Lottery Clerk?
My husband and I both tip the clerk when we win on the lottery, lotto or scratch-offs regardless if we bought the winning ticket from this particular store or not. We tip 10% of the winnings when we hit straight.

Do You Tip Your Lottery Clerk?
I'm have the same situation here. I also tip in other stores too just because they give good service. I WILL NOT tip a clerk who begs for a tip after I win and they didn't play the ticket in the 1st place.

Do You Tip Your Lottery Clerk?
I replied you've got to be kidding....... In the event of a huge jackpot win I may or may not tip them....... but for smaller amounts no way.... One store where I buy tickets it depends on the clerk...... because one of them doesn't believe global warming exists so I would not tip that clerk...... However I perfer to buy tickets when I go to other cities or to West Edmonton Mall..... since I live in a small community. Winning with one of those tickets bought in another area

Do You Tip Your Lottery Clerk?
I have never tipped a clerk. I guess I never thought about it. If I ever hit the BIG ONE , I will tip a few of the clerks that are always nice to me.

Giving Tips.
I haven't won in the store yet, but honestly, if I hadn't read this thread first, it wouldn't even occur to me to tip the clerk. I'm not stengy with money, but it's just one of those things that I wouldn't have even thought about doing.

Discussion of lottery at work...
I think some people get jobs at places that sell lottery tickets so they can say Good luck and don't forget me when you win to every lottery player. One time I cashed in a $500 ticket and the clerk asked if I had forgot her tip. She made the comments half jokingly but I think she was really serious and would have been pissed if I had given her an extra 50 . I gave her a wink and a smile instead.

Tip for the clerk that sold the ticket
My earlier comment about not feeling obligated to give a tip doesn't mean that I would not.No one can say for sure how they're going to feel after winning, but I would probably give some kind of tip if I bought the ticket from my regular clerk/store, but I would probably not if I happened to buy the ticket from some other place on a whim.

How much should a store clerk be tipped for selling a big winning ticket?
If someone won a $10M jackpot how much should the clerk that sold the ticket receive as a tip? YOU MUST BE A STORE CLERK. LOL

Giving a tip
I wouldn't even continue to buy tickets from a shop that tried that on me. I never even thought about tipping a clerk before this thread, no more than I'd tip a bank teller. They only run slips with my numbers throguh the machine. Maybe I'll reconsider when I win over 100,000.
