How much should a store clerk be tipped for selling a big winning ticket?
it depends on the circumstances. Just can't see how the clerk that sold me one ticket compared to all the other clerks that sold me many tickets should get a huge tip. Especially considering they did nothing more than all the other clerks.

What's the rule / etiquette?
I buy my ticket at different places so I wouldn't even remember the clerk who sold me the ticket. I have never won more than $10 and usually end up cashing my ticket at a different place so I find no reason to tip. If I won a major prize than I would consider tipping if I remember the clerk and whether or not they were nice.

What's the rule / etiquette?
I don't know if there is a topic on this already, I'm too lazy to look but anyways is there a rule on tipping the person who sold you a winning ticket? I went I cash in a winner tonight and the clerk made some comments like he expected me to give him a piece. I tip all the time at casinos and card rooms but I've never tipped for lotto wins. Am I wrong?

Would you continue to buy lottery tickets at a store where the clerks are ill mannered ?
I never return to a shop where I am treated poorly. And if, when handing me my tickets, the clerk says something nice like good luck or god bless etc, I always say, thank you and if I win i'll be back with a big tip for you.

Should you tip the clerk who sold you a winning ticket?
We should be able to play all lottery games online, so we do not have to deal with lottery retailers. I will never tip a store clerk that sold me a winning lottery ticket. I respect anybody decision who wants to tip.

Should you tip the clerk who sold you a winning ticket?
While it is nice that many here would tip the clerk if they won but have you ever thought about someone who has religiously wagered a large amount of money at their favorite store and never won anything? do you think the store owner should give him/her anything for trying?

Should you tip the clerk who sold you a winning ticket?
I probably would give a small tip. At the store I buy most tickets, the clerk usually asks about my girlfriend's kids. I'll give him a tip if I felt I've own enough to do so.

Should you tip the clerk who sold you a winning ticket?
should you? no. it's a nice gesture if you do, but there's nothing requiring you to tip. guess it just depends on the person. i'll tip and let you know how the clerk responds lol.

Would you tip the Store Clerk if you won big ?
How exactly does a clerk earn a tip? I mean really...... Did he pick his nose and eat in front of you?

Would you tip the Store Clerk if you won big ?
I would tip if I won the JP. The places I buy my tickets (there are two) the clerks are always friendly and helpful so I would be glad to tip the clerk who sold me my winning ticket.
