Why the fervor over a winner being a quick pick or self pick?

I used the term incensed based on a lot of discussions here on LP about quick picks.
I can easily imagine this;
QP winner: Wow, I played a quick picj and it won the jackpot but I have to aplit it with someone who picked the same numbers.
Self pick winner: I spent hours goiung over my charts and strategies and past results and my numbers came in but I'm going to have to split the jackpot with some @!^^($@^ who played a @^%$*%%( quick pick!
