aaaok,
DON'T GO ANYWHERE!!! I am going to put a copyright name on the martingale system and create some fluffy hype lines about how it wins (but not all the time), and I will be right back!!! I'll set a price so that you feel that it's good, and then if my pokets get fat off your money then at least I deserve it (even if I sent you an age old system that loses on balance with a new fancy name) because I had a set price by golly!!! Anyone without a set price must be a con man, and there is no telling what kinda of crazy scheme they are trying to pull!!!
LOL, see how thats a little absurd?
BTW, I won't be selling my "so called wisdom info", I am already making money off of it, and by the time it's all said and done, I will be in a finacial position where I won't have to resort to talking people out of their hard earned money over the internet. I'll be on easy street making money off the intrest of my profits from this investment.

Lets talk about pick three systems for a minute here folks. OK, as far as pick 3 systems go the easiest way to get a win in any lottery game is to shoot for a 6-way box with 3 unique numbers, because it offers the best odds of winning a a small cash prize. We all know that it feels good to win, and winning is fun, but there is a difference between winning and making a net profit over the long run. Now if you start playing $25-30 a week on pick three using 3 unique numbers you are going to win no matter how you came up with the numbers. But you are not going to win enough money, enough times, to beat the game. over the course of time you will lose money.
OK a man has his pride, and if he buys a system any win he gets he is going to credit to the system he bought, because he wants to feel like he made to right choice and bought a winning system.
One thing that system sellers do is predict a bunch of numbers using their system, and then afterwards go to all the different states lottery websites until they find a winning match with one of the number combos, and then they say look,"I predicted 623 and 3 days later in hit box as 263 in the texas mid-day. Don't you see how powerful this system is, order today and start winning!!!??? " But the funny thing is, did the system dealer have a ticket for that game? NO!!!
This can be done with any numbers by anyone. Lets try it.
I predict at random that one of the following numbers will hit boxed in some state somewhere within the next week:
915, 483, 093, 562, 934, 236, 871, 725, 167, 205, 813.
I have just predicted the future, and I will get a hit using my Ultra Random Prediction System(c)
and even though I will not have a ticket for the game where my system wins, or mention the fact that if I were to play all these combos on every pick 3 game in all states that have a pick 3 game my loses would be far in excess of my winnings, it will demonstrate the amazing power of this odds crushing system and hype you up enough based on what you do not understand to buy my exclusive system TODAY!!!
Check back to see which combo hit in which state.

Eventually I figured out it was the neoprene washer included with every hose. A switch to the old fashioned red rubber washer solved the problem. I wrote to the Melnor hose company and told them I had information that would save them a lot of money on their returns. Melnor replied their percentage of returns was acceptable, they weren't interested. I sent the information anyway. They are still giving a neoprene washer with every hose twenty years later and they still spray water when I turn on the faucet until I replace the washer. This is how things are . . . BobP
So that was the problem!!!

Apples and oranges. You describe a prediction strategy many use to make predictions on the LP boards for all the states. There are several lists of numbers (20-30) that with over 70 draws a week nationwide will have 30 or more hits per week and still not play at a profit. For a long time a fellow called Ken Dickkerson author of How To Win Games of Chance sold a weekly mailing list of numbers good for any state. He played the wins up big and gave a free week of numbers if you lost.
Lottery systems for sale are Intellectual Property. It is different from writing a review or telling the ending of a book. A step by step system can not be changed enough to pretend it is something other then the original system being given away, just as you can't shift music to a different key and pretend it is independent of the original piece. See. . .
http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761579940/Intellectual_Property.html
btw: I believe in the past I have come across the site you describe where a guy claims to have bought all the systems and sums them up, but isn't he also claimming to have found one good one like Ken Silver's Lotto Link System and is selling it as an affiliate?Over the years I've bought a lot of systems and never found one that did better then off and on, hit and miss, here and there. Some had promise but like a roller coaster ride always ended at the bottom. I remember one that had four straight hits in the first ten days and took a year to use up that head start and lose money at the end.

BobPApples and oranges compared to what? I didn't compare it to anything. I was showing people how there is absolutely no good reason to get hyped up when system dealers try to use the unrealistic (yet convincing to the unaware) trick of showing how their "system" works based on their "system produced numbers" hitting various states lotteries and then trying to use that as hype/selling point/proof that their system can pick winning numbers. I was/am showing that you don't need a system to get the same results. That kind of "proof" is nothing more than a trick to lure people into buying their system. You say apples and oranges, so I am thinking you though I was trying to compare that to pete's system, which I wasn't. If you go back and re-read it you will understand what I mean here.
The blog post is recent and didn't cover Ken Silver's material, so I believe you are mistaken Bob.
So to sum up your lottery system experience basically you have used a good number of them, and all of them put together didn't add up to a hill of beans when it was all said and done. You tried this system and that system, and all the while throughout the years people without systems continue to win huge jackpots by simply just having the right numbers at the right time, just random chance. Average people playing chance numbers, or birthday numbers, or the numbers of their favorite sports heros, or whatever, old folks playing quick picks. They got rich, and they didn't order every fancy system under the sun. How did they ever manage to do so well, while system players, and "lotto pros" selling sure fire systems can't seem to achieve the same results?
Why don't the systems work? Why do people sell them at all? Is it because the dealers of these systems can't resist playing on the hopes and dreams of the masses just to benefit themselves?

Well we've been talking about Pete's kind of system which uses draw history for a specific state and gives a result to play and your example of systems sellers is a universal system for all states, that sounded like apples and oranges to me.
I have no idea how well Pete's system works. I said I've seen it, not tested it and even if it didn't work in Florida there might be somewhere it does work and before you jump on that I'm saying it might work there based on that state's numbers not Florida's numbers.
Any properly made system must include a certain amount of boot strapping. One makes a system based on what's happened in the past that would have produced sufficent wins. For example I take data from 2006 to devise a system to play against the first 10 months of 2007 and if there are enough wins the system should be good for 2008 users in the states I test it in.
You make a couple of leaps. We're talking Pick-3 here where a steady stream of wins is necessary, not the larger games where one win is all that's necessary to get rich. Every week dozens of people get rich in almost every state using all sorts of methods. I can't imagine how many millionares the lottery has made across this great land of ours.
We've had threads before as to what is a system, how often must it win, must it play at a profit to be valid and so on. And yes, the systems I've bought mostly in the under $10. range on ebay haven't lived up to my expectations, if fact some have been a rehash of other systems with new advertising, some were even my own stolen from my web site where I can't sue because I won't support lawyers and I give my systems away free.
The real question is whether a system wins at all. If you find a system has wins one can generally increase their bet using a money management system to grind out a small profit playing online where the return is 90% rather then 50%. BobP -

BobPBob, you do realized that the first sentence of your reply gives away another crutial aspect of Pete's "system", right? Between what Pete openly reveals about his system on his blog in the first part of dates between 8/5 - 8-12, and what you have have just said, whats gonna be left to pay $27 for?
Bob, come on you have seen the "system", but never tested it. So you are saying you bought all these cheapy systems off eBay, and used them in actual play, but when you get a chance to see Pete's expensive system you just pay it no mind? You don't even take 5 minutes to backtest it once, yet you spend all this time to explain all off these things to someone you don't even know? Sounds kinda fishy Bob.
All systems fail, if someone happens to win it was luck, NOT THE SYSTEM!!!!
A lottery system is a gimmick, people win without systems, but nobody can be a consistent winner in ANY lottery game. Might as well shoot for the big jack pots because pick 3 is a losing proposition as are all lotto games. The numbers don't care if you spent $27 dollars to try to figure them out they will still defy your every attempt to overcome them.
I make leaps for good reasons, why play a pick 3 sucker bet game when that same money could put you in the running for a large jackpot in a pick 5, or super lotto game? There are still smaller prizes to be had in those games as well, but why even mess around with pick 3? Why, I'll tell you, and everyone else why, because it's good for business as a lottery systems dealer to have the customer play a game with the best chances of winning a small cash prize (the chances are still very much against you) but like I said it's good for business because all those little wins here and there that always never end up making the player a longterm profit, all those little wins are what makes for great selling points for a failure system like Pete's, it also keeps people from wanting a refund, they tell their friends how great the system is before they find out the hard way that this thing is a loser in the end, on and on come the benefits to Pete, not the player in the end. Thats why.
The real question is not whether a system wins at all. If you start dumping $30 a week on pick three tickets with 3 unique numbers betting for a 6-way box, you will win, sooner or later you will win, system or no system. The REAL question is whether a system that costs an arm and a leg wins in the longrun, and the answer is no. Even Pete will admit to that. See folks you pay all that money for a "system", that money is already gone, thats how Pete makes his income. Then you start pouring money into a game that is not hard to win from, but impossible to profit from, so now your throwning even more money down a rat hole. By the time you realize all of this it's too late, the money is long gone. You are left on your own to realize that you have been had.
Grinding out a small profit on any lottery game CAN NOT BE DONE!!!! It can barely be done at a game like craps. If you are highly skilled, and have lots of time, and patience you can grind out a small profit at poker which has a + expectation value for a skilled player. At lottery, IT CAN NOT BE DONE, PERIOD. Anyone who claims to be doing this, or that it's possible is either mistaken, they don't know what they are talking about, or they are lying.
These are the facts. -Jack

Let's take a step back. I buy lottery systems mainly out of
curiosity, to see what I may be missing, to see if there is
anything new I can extrapolate from or improve upon. For the
most part I open the system, note any differences from what
I'm used to and store it away. I generally don't need to run
tests to know what I'm looking at.There are two kinds of systems. Those that require the user
make a choice(s) that will determine whether they will win
or lose. The other kind is purely mechanical, where you
enter data, convert the data, use the results to make up
the numbers you play.Do systems work? The answer is a qualified maybe.
Here is one known to work if the number of repeating digits
match expectation. (Draw 123 followed by 377 the 3 is a repeat.)There is a place(s) online where you can play Pick-3 where
.25 cent plays pay $37.50 for boxed all different digits,
$75. for boxed doubles and $225. for triple paid as straight.Probability tells us how often we can expect at least one digit
from the previous draw to repeat (appear again in the next draw). If we take the 1, 2 or 3 possible digits from the previous draw
and combine those digits with all the remaining possible pairings
there are 55 formed numbers from 1 digit, 100 formed numbers from 2 different digits and 136 formed numbers from 3 different digits. So if a triple (333) is drawn a wager of 55 x .25 = $13.75 is
called for.If a double (233) is drawn a wager of 100 x .25 = $25. is required.
If a all different (123) is drawn a wager of 136 x .25 = $34. is
indicated.Potential losses are $13.75, $25.00 and $34.00 if the next draw
does not contain a repeating digit.Potential Profits with a repeating digit:
$37.50 - $34.00 = $3.50 AD win follows AD
$37.50 - $25.00 = $12.50 AD win follows DBL
$75.00 - $34.00 = $41.00 DBL win follows AD
$75.00 - $25.00 = $50.00 DBL win follows DBL
$225.00 - $34.00 = $191.00 Triple win follows AD
$225.00 - $25.00 = $200.00 Triple win follows DBLIt is simple enough to take a year of draw history and work
out a profit and loss profile in the margins (based on type of draw following type of draw with or without a repeat ) if you had played this system over the past year. If the system would have lost money switch to another state game where repeating digits are within expectation. This is about as close as you're going to get to proof a
mechanical Pick-3 system can play at a profit or grind out
a profit or play at a small loss over time instead of losing
everything all the time as is possible buying quick picks, etc.

The odds of hitting a 6-way box with 3 different numbers are 1 in 167.
On average if you win this bet it pays about $40
Lets make this easy for everyone to understand.
So this many times:
X
Out of this many times:
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXYou will win this many dollars:
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
This bet is a losing proposition, and unless you can see into the future you can not change this fact.
Are we all clear on why this is a foolhearty bet?
If your going to make a foolhearty bet, and all lottery bets are (no doubt), shoot for a game where the largest prize is life changing. Timidness in your selection of lottery games will not be rewarded.
These are the facts, Jack

Excuse me for being skeptical but real proof would be would posting your predictions for a couple of weeks.
"Yes, I won 2 Times so far, and have only had the system for a little over a week! Last night would have been 3 times, but I had changed My numbers a bit prematurely."
Why would you change "your" numbers if you had confidence in the system?
"Don't believe Me?"
Of course I believe you because that's the typical mistake inexperienced systems players make when they play on paper and don't play for real money.
"You might not win Every Night, but that is the nature of the game."
Reminds why Vegas has all those billion dollar hotel/casinos.
Hi Stack47,
Thanks for your comment.
"real proof would be would posting your predictions for a couple of weeks"
Actually, they're not MY predictions, they are the system's predictions.
You will have to speak with Pete for that as I will not give away HIS system.
"Why would you change "your" numbers if you had confidence in the system?"
... again, Not going to give away Pete's System. If You want to know why, then
ASK Pete. OR, purchase His system.
"they play on paper and don't play for real money."
... and I quote from My Previous post:
------> "I have just sent Pete 2 .jpg files of scanned copies of the WINNING Lottery Tickets from last week's Pick 3 drawings that I have won."
Evidently, IF I have SCANNED COPIES of My WINNING LOTTERY TICKETS, that
isn't playing on Paper, now is it?
btw/ I just won again tonight.
Has this satisified your Q's?

FirstBorn,
Pete, is that you, how many user names do you have here???!!! LOL, just kidding!
OK, which states' lottery do you play, I'll backtest it using the system and see how much truth there is to this, and then we can test it on an ongoing basis to see how well the system REALLY preforms in your lottery. One week is to short of a timeframe to tell for sure anyway. A few lucky wins could make it seem as if you just found a way to quit your day job, lol. "Kudos" on your beginners luck!!
Hi Summertime,
"Pete, is that you, how many user names do you have here???!!! LOL, just kidding!"
Nah, I'm a bit better lookin' than Pete... haha
(just kidding, Pete.)
"which states' lottery do you play"
I'm in Central Florida Near Tampa.
I just won this evening to make it 3 wins since I rec'd Pete's System.
Hope that Helps.
Christopher
PS. I do NOT benefit in any way by telling You about this.
Pete Deserves the Kudos because, from what *I* have experienced,
His system WORKS... The reason why I posted in this thread was also to
Defend Pete.

If the predictions are the system's predictions and not yours then everyone who uses the system must get the same results. If you ever win big then everyone who's playing the same game using that system will share the prize with you.

If your going to make a foolhearty bet, and all lottery bets are (no doubt), shoot for a game where the largest prize is life changing. Timidness in your selection of lottery games will not be rewarded.

Hi Summertime,
Thanks for getting into the odds.
Have you read BobP's Blog?
https://www.lotterypost.com/blog/1533
Using the odds 167:1
are you able to redo your X's along with BobP's combination/odds?
You might get a better understanding of the system's odds and
why they increase in your favor.

Hi Stack47,
Thanks for your comment.
Christopher
"they play on paper and don't play for real money."
I can create a Pick-3 system by saying "had I played the first digit from "X" numbers of draws ago and the second and third digits from "X" numbers of draws" and predict the next drawing. Since I can't go back in time and buy tickets, I can only check the system's validity on paper. And if I have enough confidence in the system, I play the results in my state lottery.
I suppose I could have scanned all the $2, $3, $5, and $40 winners I had playing Ten-Oh, but if I wanted to prove the simple system I'm using is showing a profit, wouldn't it be reasonable to scan and show all the tickets I played?
"I have just sent Pete 2 .jpg files of scanned copies of the WINNING Lottery Tickets from last week's Pick 3 drawings that I have won."
I'll bet you didn't scan and make copies of all the tickets you bought; AKA LOSING lottery tickets.
I'm not saying you "didn't" win using Pete's system, I'm just suggesting that if you want to prove the system is profitable, why not post the numbers this system picks for a couple of weeks on the Predictions page so it can be evaluated equally with all other methods?
"Has this satisified your Q's?"
I guess you did if you're just looking for an "atta-boy" because cashed a lottery ticket.
