I usually pick up 1 a day on my way home.  I would say my ROI is good.  I only post the $100+ winners and kind of gloss over the $10, $20 stuff.  I like the games that have a Fast Spot.  It's replaced $1,000,000 Fortune right now as my favorite just because I seem to have more luck on it that LFL or Black.  Black has been garbage for me.  Same with Diamond Millionaire.

I am hoping for another good $10 LFL type game when they retire this one.  It only has 1 more winner it looks like until the final draw winner so odds aren't good there.  I just like it for some reason.

Sounds like you found good places and times to buy singles, I'd stick with it. I remember someone in the main scratch results thread talking about his friend that has a 1 ticket a day rule, who gets big hits and better return then him buying entire rolls at a time!

Yeah, the $10 LFL ain't that bad. Not like the $5 LFL which is awful typical return, a big penalty is paid for the top heavy payouts.

Incidentally, there should actually be 2 more top prizes left in $10 LFL at this time. The end of game top prize is not included in the original ticket printing numbers, so that actually boosts the total payout of the game. On paper, it is 77.97% return, and with the end of game top prize draw 80.13% return, the highest Scratchers game return of all. But that is an annuitized top prize. So taking cash value TP $3,750,000 instead, it is 68.80% return and 70.05% return when counting end of game top prize draw. Compare to Cali Gold which is 74.62% return.(75.06% w/end of game draw)

Those are great stats.  Thanks for those.  I didn't know that the total prizes didn't include the final one.  The liquor store where I buy a lot of tickets told me to buy my last $200 Gold ticket.  He has pointed me to 3 winners:  $200, $500 and $1,0000.  I told him he was some sort of leprechaun.  He is on a one man mission to get Diamond out of there.  Hates it.  Says they sell none of it.  He is not a fan of the new Black one either.  I guess they have their favorites as well.

I am hoping for a new game that I can really get into.  With 1MDF and LFL on the outs, it limits me.

I saw that post of the Black TP winner.  That place he bought it is about 3 miles from me.  I have bought Scratchers there before.

Speaking of dud games, Win It All has to be one of the worst.  Ugly looking game, bad numbers for winners and it just seems like it's always full in the boxes.  Gives credence to what one vendor told me in that the Lotto people deliberately have some bad games out there that are pure money makers for them and rarely pay out.

I agree.  I won't play that game again.  It left a bad taste in my mouth.  They haven't paid out a TP for a very long time.

I guess people buy due to the card theme/looks more so than their outcomes with the luck of the draw.

The Smoking Hot Cash and Win-It-All came out in back to back months, both have the same payout structure but Smoking Hot Cash sold much more than Win-It-All in just one month sales advantage. The Win-It-All had that special drawing during its debut.

A $5 game that does well is 20X The Money, it has very very similar payout structure as Smoking Hot Cash/Win it all except that ...

Top Prize is $200,000 with 1 in 185 odds to win $50 while SHC/WinItAll has top prize of $250,000 with 1 in 219 odds to win $50.

More $50 prizes in favor of a lesser top prize? I'd go with that concept. I remember how hard/seldom/rare it was to win $50 off of a scratcher years ago.

1MF/Diamond/Black have same payouts, easier to win $500 than Gold/$250Mil Cash/$10LFL/20XCrossword, but I think the odds to win $30 or $50 being 1 in 100 is the killer, I do not understand the reason winning $100 is easier at 1 in 82 odds.

Anyone know what happened to the $3 and $5 Bingo games?  On the CA Lottery website, photos of those games are gone.  If you click on the link in the left header, it takes you the game's page, but the odds and payout schedules are gone.

There were no end of game notices for these games, as far as I know.

That is a very good observation, the info/odds/payout are gone from the website even now. Not sure if those games got pulled from any controversy?

The upcoming new $3 game is a bingo type, not sure if that will come out, we'll see.

Welcome to this forum and thread! Nice to have another CA Lottery scratch off player to share results with.

We primarily share ticket numbers in which your winners come from and talk about trends in the newest games.

I also play the high denominations only primarily it has a better payout rate than the other denominations.

I need the luck but good luck to you!

Yeah, I noticed that the other day while pulling stats.

Looks like a website editing error, they do that from time to time. (example: http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/250725/3183089 )

Since they have the game in the list in the sidebar menu, but not on the main list with images, that seems to imply it's an editing error, not a pulled game.

Although I must say, there was something seriously wrong with the stats for $3 Bingo Boxes. No other game had it's stats so far out of whack. It was either a major reporting error or possibly a manufacturing defect. Didn't see anything unusual with $5 Big 6 Bingo.

Cleaning out any scratcher game generally does not turn out too favorable, if you do not mind losing a few hundred dollars. The best games to chase with high average ROI are those $75k or $77777 $5 games, bingo/crosswords/poker/7's.

This game has the same payout structure to the last year's California Lottery Black $5 scratchers that sold well. It's gotta be the theme that appeals.

The reason i would clean them out of Win It All's is becuase there hasnt been a TP claimed in a very very long time and no one is selling them.  I figured there would be a better chance of hitting the TP based on those facts.  But your most likely right,  they probably dont even have any of the TPs printed or they are sitting in a warehouse.
