That 21 Black Series $20 has been giving me terrible luck. I'm now 0-3 on it.

I played $40 worth of tickets today, and I didn't get a single winner. I think thats a sign to cut back big time on the lottery.

I'll play a little bit in September, but much less than I usually play.

Man this is depressing! I go away for days even weeks without checking the boards thinking I would have plenty of stories to read and photos of winners to see but not happening. I have cut way back playing only about once every two weeks. When I do play I end up losing about $100. I have played about 5-6 of the new 21st anniversary tickets and have only gotten a $30 winner. I played a few more $30 tickets but never hit anything. I will soon quit all together. It feels like we are getting like the other states I read about on this board that rarely hit like California and Pennsylvania.

      2014 $500+ Wins: 2 - $500 Luck Loot, 2 - $500 Millionaire Jumbo Bucks, 2 - $500 50X the Money, 8 - $500 Cash Spectacular, 1 - $1,000 Monopoly Millionaire, 3 - $1,000 Cash Spectacular, 1 - $500 - $7500 a Week for Life, 1 - $500 100X the Money

I been wanting to buy a whole roll of tickets for quite a while now and i did today. Got a roll of $20 100x money for $300. Got this ticket because, according to the odds it should be a $500 winner in every 9 rolls.

        Well i got $260 in return, winning numbers were: 002 $20 - 006 $20 - 007 $50 - 008 $20 - 010 $50 - 012 $100, rest were losers. I guess that wasnt too bad, i might try another roll next week. Falcon out.

Not bad. At all. Considering I hardly ever get $200 back from a book, a $40 loss, I'd consider alright. Be careful doing other one though, the next one could be a huge drop from this one. Good luck in whatever decision you make.

                Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum. I just posted on another post about scratch off tickets. I have been pretty lucky in the past but not like some of you. I did win $500 in Keno. This was by accident because I didn't know what I was doing. lol

I won $400 in play4 back in July. I had a dream Friday night and played the number for day and evening on Sat. I boxed 1991. It came 1919. I was very happy about that.

The most I have won on a single scratcher is $100. I purchased books before and only got about half the money back. I couldn't do that too often on my salary. I have tried to develop a strategy. I know if I want to win big, and when I say big, I want the $1million or more jackpots, you won't find these in poor neighbors. Although, I have seen $400k wins in one fairly poor neighborhood at a Korean supermarket. The have sold two tickets in a 3 or 4 yr span that had big winners like that. One day, i walked in to buy a ticket and the clerk said, someone bought a ticket just before me worth $10k. shucks! Just my luck.

Anyway, I am coming into a little bit of cash and I am trying my luck. Not with books but just to see if i can hit a $500 or more ticket to keep buying tickets until I hit. I have a feeling, it's coming. So I am setting aside $200 to start. Here's what I hope to buy and i know some of you have your favorites but keep in mind, even if a ticket is old, sometimes they will print the jackpot tickets while everyone is buying the new ones. When you buy the new ones, your aim should be to get to the jackpot before others start to buy them. I have noticed that if there are let's say 5 top prizes available and 2 or 3 are claimed within a month's time, you most likely won't hit a jackpot for a long time. They don't print them all at once. Anyway, here's what I plan to buy:

$7500 A Week, $20 21series, $1,250,000 Bonanza, $20 Ga Extravaganza, Grand Casino, Cash King, Atlanta Falcons, $10 Anniversary Edition Jumbo Bucks, and $5 Anniversary Edition Jumbo. Although some of these don't have $1million or more jackpots, I'll settle for $350k if it gives me a good win. Anyway, I will post what I get by the end of the week or when I get them.

BTW...is there a post of a jackpot winner from a scratcher anywhere in the forum from Ga.? I'd like to see if they had a winner with the jackpot. Sometimes after scratching back to back losers, I've actually had a $100 winner. Sorry if I talk too much. :-)

You're spreading yourself too thin, luckyladie. If I were you, I'd key on no more than three different cards, and wouldn't bother with anything under $10.

My top three choices for Georgia scratchers:

                  • $10 Million Cash Spectacular ($30)
                  • $7500 A Week For Life ($20)
                  • $1,250,000 Cash Bonanza ($10)

P.S. - That $5 Anniversary card you mentioned is about played out - only 2 top prizes and 2 second prizes left.

Good luck! I don't even know whats good right now with my recent cold streak, but most of those seem like good tickets to try.

The $30 tickets is too rich for me. I once heard, to start small and work your way up. I don't plan to play all of these at once. This is like over time. I'd say over a two week period. I only plan to buy $200 worth of $20 and $10 tickets. I remember one time, buying 4 $600,000 Rich and won $100 on the last ticket scratched. I took the money and ran. I too thought the $5 tixs are a waste of money but I have a feeling about them when the hype dies down off the new tickets. Initially, I'll only get two types of $20 tickets and one type of $10 ticket one week day this week. By the weekend, I hope to move up to maybe another set. We'll see how the first batch goes.

Thanks. I am always checking the winners, locations and how many tickets are still left unclaimed. I have heard people claiming tickets that have been out since last year. I wish I had paid attention to what new games had come out when these 'old' tickets start rolling out again. Like that All or Nothing game had about 4 winners in a week or two period when it first came out. Then there were no winners for about 4 or 5 months. The last person to win won $500k in one game. What are the odds?

Some where in Arkansas, a couple played some scratchies at the same store on a fishing trip. The first time they won, they won $50k. On their way home they stopped at the same store and won $1 million. Again, what are the odds? It's luck and timing.

Someone just posted their scratchie today down in Florida. Dude won $100k. I was just asking if anyone has ever posted a winning ticket of a big prize and here comes this dude. I feel hopeful.

The reason people have to "go big" after "starting small" is because small didn't get them anywhere. Choose three cards with several large top prizes left, say two $10 cards and a $20, and stick with them.

I don't spend much money on cards $5 or less, because the top prizes aren't high enough to allow me to retire. After taking the lump sum and paying federal and state taxes, it wouldn't be enough to live on for more than a few years, so I'd have to keep on working.

Stick with the $10s and $20s, and good luck! Smile

I got way too confident with the two $400 winners that i got in two days, played some more and im down $140 for the day. Guess that means to take it easy now, i might play again on friday if not next week. Falcon out.
