Thanks Steve ,

Still not working right on Pick 3 only. Nov 1, 2010 is oldest date for any state

Pick 4 seems to be complete and accurate.

Not complaining, At least I have the 4 years worth

Thanks

On Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.x LotSoftPro does not have permissions to write to \Program Files(x86)\INW\LotSoft.  For these operating systems the files are virtualized to your user folder.

For example on my machine when I do an update the files in \Program Files(X86)\INW\LotSoft\Data do not change.  i.e. p3.mdb and p4.mdb are still dated 01-28-2011.

If I look in the virtualized folder they have been updated.

For me the virtualized folder would be the following location:

    \Users\jwright\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (X86)\INW\LotSoft\data.

The first part of the above path will be different based on your user log in.

So if Carlig was running on one of the above mentioned operating systems and not on Windows XP then she would need to place the p3.mdb and p4.mdb files in the virtualized folder because that is where the files are being read from.  The windows operating system is redirecting all  file requests to the virtualized location because apps no longer have permission to write to the \Progam Files folder.  Only on Windows XP can you write files to \Program Files directory.

The other thing going on is LotSoftPro is a 32-bit application that is why its in \Program Files (X86) on 64 bit operating systems.  Programs in \Program Files are 64-bit applications.  Windows XP being just a 32 bit operating system it does not have the distinction of two different Program Files folders.

Anyway maybe this explanation will help others in the future.

I myself have Windows XP and have never used Windows Vista nor Windows 7 nor Windows 8, so I have never tried "UAC".

But if something called "User Account Control" (UAC) is the problem or one of the problems then:

        1. Press Windows Key+X on your keyboard to display the Tools Menu, and select Control Panel. Or, right-click the lower left corner of your monitor to display the Tools Menu, and select Control Panel.
        2. Type UAC in the search field in the upper right corner of the window.
        3. Click Change User Account Control settings in the search results.
        4. Then do one of the following:
          • To turn UAC off, drag the slider down to Never notify, and click OK.
          • To turn UAC on, drag the slider up to the desired level of security, and click OK.
        5. You may be prompted to confirm your selection or enter an administrator password.
        6. Reboot your computer for the change to take effect.
        7. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
        8. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
        9. You should always turn "UAC" back ON as soon as possible, once you finish doing whatever it was that you needed to do.
        10. People should never turn "UAC" off unless they know for sure what they are doing, so maybe most people should never turn "UAC" off.
        11. I don't know if this will help or not, I think that for you this might not help either and maybe the problem and the fix are something else.
        12. But this might help others who have a problem with "UAC"
        13. Fernando.

That's good they should show the current date.  I guess I misunderstood what Winsum did.  I thought he sent you files which had all the old years but was also up to date.  If you copied those files that Winsum gave to you to your Virtual Folder area and then re-start LotSoftPro the hope would be that it would read in all the draws.

If you did a Live Update earlier this morning you will notice that the draws for 6/11/14 did not show up.
