New York Scratch Off Prize Possibility Not Lister ($100 Million Payout)
Did you take a photo of the ticket showing the ticket number and the spot where the 5x symbol was located? It's possible that there were other number match wins in addition to the 5x $500 symbol win on that ticket. If you received $500 from this retailer there is something definitely fishy. I would call NYL right away and explain the situation. NYL should have an electronic record of that transaction when the retailer scanned the ticket. They will know if someone tries to file a claim with NYL f

ohio new pick 5
You probably don't even know there are six different types of box plays each paying off different amounts. The IRS doesn't care which state you live in and winnings over $600 are taxable and a 50 cents 30 box pays $834. I'd really like to see you hit just to see if you could follow the instructions for claiming your winnings. If you win between $600 and $5,000, take your winning ticket to a retailer location, where you will receive a Pay to Bearer ticket. At this point, you have two options:

How about this idea: Phone Booths the new lottery retailer...
What if phone booths became the new lottery retailer where you buy your tickets...You swipe your I.D card put in coins for the ticket or drop the dollar in something similar to a coin case and talk to an animated service on the phone and say which number you want to play...when the coin case is full someone comes and collects them, the same way they collect money on the phone booths.... when you win you go to a bank and withdraw/cash your lower prizes win...Your jaxkpot win you collect it at

Indiana man says store cost him $11.5M lottery jackpot
His lawyer is probably working on a contingency agreement. A third of $11.5 would make a nice pay day for him plus he would attract more clients who might want to sue retailers if they fail to win a lottery jackpot. Some years ago, a player sued a retailer and the Ohio lottery when he bought 20 Buckeye5 tickets with the same combination on each one and matched 5 which normally paid $100K each but there was a payout cap of $1M per drawing. Since there was one other winner he ended up getting 2

winners of $5,000 or less. (claiming tips).
Q. Where do I go to claim my Lottery prize? A. Prizes of $599.99 or less may be redeemed at any Florida Lottery retailer. Prizes from $600 to $250,000, and POWERBALL prizes of up to $1 million, may be redeemed at a Lottery district office. Prizes of $250,000 or more, with the exception of POWERBALL prizes ranging up to $1 million, must be claimed at Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee. Lottery tickets may also be mailed to Lottery headquarters for redemption; however, the risk of mailing ti

Small Winnings Tax Question
You are truly blessed and highly favored. Did you know that in your state of VT the lottery retailer are required to pay up to $100 on the scratch off tickets but may pay up to $499? And they are reqired to pay up to $499 on the other lottery tickets as long as they were sold by a VT lottery agent? Once again I will say when you cash in your tickets I consider you blessed and highly favored because at least you know you will be leaving with cash in hand/pocket/shoe, whereas here in TX, when

Scratcher Help
Did you mean $500? I am quite sure that stores don't pay out more than $599 since a claim form must be completed and the win is reported to the IRS. Up to $5,000 is the amount that you can win without the 25% mandatory federal tax deduction, but taxes are still due on amounts of $600 and over. In FL you need to go to one of the Lottery Offices if you win $600 or more. I am pretty certain that RJOh said that any amounts over $600 are cashed at a bank after you get a receipt from an Ohio Lottery r

$800,000 lottery ticket now worthless
Exactly what do you suppose the retailer should sue for? Following the rules? I've never quite understood why retailers are paid anything other than a modest processing fee for winning tickets (and such a fee should be paid to the retailer that pays the winning ticket rather than the retailer that sold it), but the rules are what the rules are. As far as giving the prize to a different player, why should they benefit just because somebody else lost out? If there were two winners, then the oth

Change of minor details...
If they are reported their lotto license will be pulled. I have printed all the rules and regs on getting a license to open a lotto store.. If caught not redeeming a ticket .. license can be pulled.. Check with your state online and see what the rules and regs are for the retailer.. You should be able to get this information. Then when it happens to you.. flop the rules and regs out for the retailer to see. It could be an oversight with the retailer..
