For entertainment this week a few of the residents of the ILS who used to work for some of the lotteries will tell us about some of the proposed things that just never came off, such as:

    • Balls with Roman Numerals for the drawings
    • Playslips for those drawings in Roman Numerals
    • Instead  of balls for a drawing, a huge matrix would be painted on the ground and six chimpanzee parachutists would each land on a number
    • A 115 number matrix would be used and the six numbers picked would be the high temperature for the day in six locations drawn from 115 balls in a bowl

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

    Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I must belong in the Institute cuz I kinda like a couple of those ideas.

The only entertainment that could possibly be better would be an appearance by Ronnie Milsap singing "Money".

I cringe at the visual my own self.

This week we'll discuss a new game proposal, the all-U.S. Pick 3 combined total sum game.

That's right, you'll be able to bet on the combined total sum of all the Pick 3 games in the U.S., having your choice of Mid-Day only, Evening Only, or All Games Combined!

Rumor is people are already working on a software protram to crack this one and six other people claim to have a system. Ironically, beyond the six that claim to have a system, 146 claim to have won money on this game, although it hasn't been played anywhere.

Others have claimed to have won on both the All U.S. Total sum square rooted game, and the Total Sums divided by Pi game.

I created my own software and cracked the code on that one years ago. Made a ton of money too. Got tired of winning after a while. Gave it up. Maybe I'll write a book some day. I could tell you stories of jackpots so huge they would make your head spin right the hell off.

There was a very interesting meeting last night at the Institute.

People were talking about how they were going to spend their winnings, their jackpot money, and one of the residents had a visitor from outside the institute.

She heard the conversation and asked how much rthese people had won, with the talk of buying Mercedes and mansions and around the world trips and such, and one of the staff told her, "Oh, they haven't won any jackpots, this is the ILS."

At that she said, "Well, I was here to visit Beauregard, and he told me that this was a resort."

The staffer then said, "Most of them here think they have a system or that there is a system."

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                              Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
