I wonder if the new $30 will have that sticky green coat like ultimate riches and luckylife. I have to work a little harder on that ultimate riches coat... But I've noticed the super sticky coat is when they get the games from the Canadian manufacturer...

That is correct, the CA Lottery contracts GTECH (mainly crosswords) and Scientific Games (mainly number matching) to produce the scratcher games.

Also by looking at the font, you could tell which one produced it. GTECH uses thicker coat, and it is noticible on the Playbook, Ultimate Riches, Lucky Life, and the crosswords.

The $30 ticket seems promising, but if the Lottery pulls that Free $30 ticket/$30 prize nonsense, it would be wise to stay away.

Small bit of details released about the new $30 Scratcher in commereration of California Lottery's 30th anniversary. How fitting it is.

It looks like this is the first non-Lucky for Life Scratchers that has an annuity option for the top prize.

Just note that on my $1000 winner. There is no 14.

Ha! Totally no 14! Only time I won $100 on million match 14&41 were in the winning #'s. But the win was the 100 fast spot with the stack of bills symbol :)

for what it's worth (free ticket or nothing) I feel like I might have a winner when I have uncovered (both) 14/41 in the winning #'s before scratching the rest. And I almost always scratch the fast spots last.

Slp continues to slug along 1 lil' mill' bump at a time...

Did any of you catch that question in 1 of the recent surveys on the slp insiders community that asked something like: "if slp was to end what game would you play in its place?"

There have been many games in the past well before Lucky for Life, and Luxky Life that had an annuity for the top prize. It just was not publicly disclosed on the ticket like those games. In private the CA Lottery offered a lump sum that was well less than the total annuity amount.

I would estimate that the lump sum for the $30 game will be $6 million.

Regardless of how many entries are bought for the drawing, there is a guarantee that each drawing will go up by $1 million each time.

Consumers have shown that they are into the big jackpot games, so they'll play that instead. Even though SLP is at positive expectation, it is still selling much less than Mega Millions and Powerball. The 5 out of 5 with no Mega or Power pays out well normally as a near miss, so there is appeal to that too.

I'll play scratchers if SLP goes away.

I am FUC*** done with the CA lottery! Have been an avid scratchers player for years. Today i had $180 extra to spend, bought 9 x$20 ultimate riches...all sequental. Not even one winner, are you kidding me? There is something wrong with that. I am so done with the lottery, this is just so stupid. I am wasting my money. Granted it wasnt the best idea to spend all of it on lottery (dumd mistake on my part)....but could i at least have had ONE winner. This is BS. Goodbye lottery, you pissed me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rant

Saw a sample ticket of the $30 game coming out in August at a liquor store--the cash odds are, if I read the ticket right, 1 in 4.66. SMH

That means there is going to be a boatload of TICKET break even prizes if overall is 1 in 2.62

Never heard of that city before, had to look it up that it is near Fresno.

Small cities do have a shot though it seems San Jose is the luckiest city when it comes to the state lottery.

This is going to be like that stinker Ultimate Riches game. Bonus spots aplenty, but the majority of prizes are Free tickets/$30 cash with strings of losing tix.

In other news, a $50 Scratcher is likely to hit stores by the end of the year. At least according to my nearest retailer.

Won back $430 from this book which was the exact same amount i won the week prior playing the entire book as well. I thought it was 75% payout for this game? Looks like I'm only getting 71.6%. What do you guys think? Should i get another book or wait until the $30 scratchers come out Aug 24 with the 80% payout?
