The company that makes Golds, Diamond, and Black also produces most of the scratcher offerings that the CA Lottery has to offer.

Practically your best bet will be Crosswords and Bingo for scratchers, or $10 games are not your favorite ones

Thats as far as the $10 games go... The $20 game i have done well with and im sure its the same company.

I like the quality of the LFL games.  The other games just seem cheap...

I forgot about those Lucky for Life games. The font used for the numeric values are different than the normal ones.

The $10 games are much more geared towards the low tier prizes $10 - $100 and maybe $200/$500. In the long run I have seen a fair share of $50 and $100 wins from my $10 bulk purchases.

The $20 games make it easier to win $5000 or $25000 than the other prize points if you can play enough of them.

I still think its the CA Lottery that sets the payout for all the tickets though.

I dont think the company who makes these scratchers have anything to do with the odds.

            Bought 4 California Black today.

            002-005, only one winner, $15.

On the back it says "Scan to play Lady Luck's game" and some sort of digital code.  I hope you don't need a smartphone to play this game.  I found nothing on the calottery website about this.  Does anyone know what this means?

I haven't bought the California Black yet, but it's probably a QR code like was found on the $5 Fortune 55 game.  Most people do use a smartphone to scan and proceed to the game.  If you have a laptop/desktop with a webcam, there are apps that you can install that read QR codes on your computer.

                Thanks, mrcraft.

Found this about the QR code on the back of California Black.

"You can receive an extra 2nd chance code by scanning the QR code on the back of your California Black Exclusive scratchers ticket..."

got one $10 Fortune from a Glendale store and won $0. Should I pursue the Fortune anymore? I am looking for one of the elusive 3 JP :-)

I personally would buy if you could find any. Even the other high tier prizes $10k, $20k are behind the sales rate of 94% (based on prizes remaining)

Two things to consider.  First are the big prizes that are left.  Second, that final deck might be still in the store because the big card in the deck was already bought and nobody wants to buy any of the rest.  Myself, I'll ask the clerk what's number it's on and then play my gut.

It appears to have the exact same prize structure as the $1 Million Fortune, which it is replacing. Except that it launched with 24 top prizes instead of 25, that extra one being kept for the 2 end-of-game top prizes instead of 1.

I think it is just 1 end of game top prize instead of 2 so I do not think there is really anything too special with this game.

At least the $1 Million Fortune had an early bonus game at its debut.

Playing in the promo game will earn additional entries to the end of game top prize. This game will last long and will be very diluted in terms of entries for the top prize.

My bad, I must have misread that. Just 1,200,000 fewer total tickets printed is only difference.

The serial no I got was 014. I am tempted to go and get whatever is the next one. This store is kinda isolated and I don't see many getting in to get lottos.
