Thanks! Sounds like a great theory..I can definitely see myself doing that for upcoming special occasions (birthday, holidays). Not sure I can resist the temptation week to week, but maybe worth trying. Something new to think about.
Gratz on the $200 win on the Lucky for Life ticket! Man, that ticket can be brutal. I've encountered 10 duds in a row on that game (not even kidding...)
The "stash" method seems like a great strategy to reward yourself every couple or few weeks and to diversify the book numbers/types of tickets. I need to follow it in order to build more self-control.
MrGray doesn't think the 200k/yr prize is due, but the 50k/yr prize is overdue. Has anyone requested an Instant Liability Report on this game?
I just sent an email to request instant liability reports on Lucky 200k/yr for life, and Power 8's. When I get them, I'll share with the fam. =)

Speaking of Power 8's I went to the DO at Lotto HQ today figuring they'd have some (since everywhere else I've stopped by is completely out). I bought the last eight they had on an open roll. All duds. Talk about annoying.

Sorry to hear bud.
Wow, that ticket is really becoming scarce. The game is ending in October of this year, which says something. Still strange 2/8 jackpots are listed as remaining. I think it would be pretty darn hard to miss a jackpot on a $5 ticket, so I'm willing to bet if a jackpot isn't found on this game that it has been tossed/destroyed.

Thanks, Dracos! I actually never played that one before..not surprising had worse then poor results for you. I'd be livid after 10 successive duds on a $20 game. I don't think I'll play it again anyway - was just a spur of the moment thing that for once worked.
I will try to approach the stash method but knowing myself, it'll be <snip> hard to resist scratching on the way. Plus, if I actually managed to hold out, and had a lot of duds, I'd be thrice as disappointed then normally am. Still, it would certainly beat my non-method of occasional ticket chasing I've employed to date though. I just might try it!!
I haven't seen a Power 8 in at least 10 months here in Orlando area. I played it once last year and had good return. Maybe based on what you find, I'll seek harder for them.
Let us know!!

Just curious, shoe box size? :)
My Mom always tells us "I only want a ticket" when we ask about presents ... so last year I started in August, and I'd buy a ticket here and there (everywhere really) she had 200+ boxes to open, 1 ticket per box
My birthday box was a pretty good sized one with a slit on top wide enough to fit a $20 ticket (like a wedding box for envelopes) ... would buy 10 tickets in a row or 20 ... a bunch of singles ... 2 or 3 in a row ... just a mix of everything ... I do better going in and buying 1 of each $1 $2 tickets than 10 or 20 in a row ... luck/timing wins out almost every time
I realllllllly want a $10 $2Mil Jackpot ticket this year ... can't find one

Typed up a letter and sent it to my state rep. If anyone wants a copy which they can send via email to their rep, send me a private message. It addresses destroyed books, bad accounting of grand prizes, and the lack of full prize accounting on the website (which other states have).

You may want to check this website out for Scratchoff remaining prizes. Free website.
Lotto Crawler website provides you the best choices for winning State Lotto Scratch Off tickets purchased at your local Lotto Retailer. They check the Remaining prizes for Scratch Off tickets, analyze the results using Lotto Crawler algorithm and present you with the best choices to increase your chances of winning.

While at first glance LottoCrawler may appear to present good information, it doesn't. All the site does is use a simple look up of the remaining top prizes from the website of [insert your favorite state here]'s Lottery and then make guesses about the prizes left for each of the levels based solely on the number of top prizes remaining (and the numbers in many cases can be very far off, particularly on the games with large primary top prizes). Disregarding the obvious inherent problem with this misinformation, the whole guessing scheme is made extra super useless by the fact that the Florida Lottery's reporting of top prizes is wrong as often as not. Something I'm sure is in oldghost's letter mentioned in the above post.

Oh it is. All of the issues people are bugged by are mentioned in it.
I'd hope everyone on here will take a copy, look up the state senator and congressman for their district, and send a copy. Just have to get one of them that likes scratch offs to be surprised by the info in it and the likelihood of something being done goes up.
Also in reference to the post above, sort of spam if you ask me, is that it's fairly unnecessary for a lot of states since quite a few already tell you exact numbers for all prizes remaining.

Thank you for drafting up a letter, and advocating for changes in the FL Lottery. I'd be happy to pass on the letter to my regional rep, regional congress representative, and senate. We talk about how much the FL Lottery is lacking, and the lack of transparency with top prizes. We need to demand transparency, there's no reason why the FL Lottery should be light years behind Texas (or even much smaller lotteries). Heck, Georgia's website seems to offer a great deal of more transparency in terms of essentially providing instant liability reports real time.
I know Senator Marco Rubio is running for reelection, and he's been advocating for lower socioeconomic residents(particularly with living conditions). He might take an interest in potential destruction of jackpots/game manipulation within the Florida Lottery, and be willing to make noise in order to advocate for these people.

Oh, it definitely shouldn't be given to FL Lotto (assuming that's who you meant by regional rep). It'd do nothing to send it to them and if they took it seriously it'd provide them a better chance to argue it if it ever came up.
Marco Rubio would have nothing to do with this. He represents FL on the federal level and wouldn't handle anything to do with FL State laws, plus he doesn't exactly "work" very often.
It should only be emailed to the FL State senator and FL State congressman that handles your district. There's 40 senators and 120 congressman in the state house. One of those 160 is bound to care, just have to have find the ones that do, hoping someone is in their district.

And the Triple Cash game is down to 9/76 jackpots remaining. Crazy! The Lots of Bucks still has 22/76 jackpots remaining, which is odd that the newer $1 game has almost given up all top prizes.
I have a list of places that have the Power 8S ticket in the Jacksonville, and Gainesville area. I requested an instant liability report, and will share as soon as I get it. There aren't too many places on that list. 5 stores in the Gainesville area, and 11 in the Jacksonville area.

Today, I went to Miami DO and bought a book of 200MS again after they told me that they have one more roll. This was the best return for me until now.
I got $825 (1x$500 + 1 x $50 + 1 x$40 + etc.)....It looks like Sales Rep.s are handing over the remaining 200MS books to DO if they are not activated in stores.
I wanted to scan and post $500 ticket but when I cashed it in Publix, I forgot to retain the ticket.
