Sorry to hear BuyLow, and anyone else who has been seeing poor results on the new tickets. Their payout rate definitely isn't the best compared to other scratchoffs.
That's about what I've experienced. I splurged, and bought two entire $10 Holiday Millions rolls. Got about $500 back out of $1200. Rolls 47k, and 52k were absolutely horrible, nothing over a single $100 winner and a couple $50 winners. I found a $100 winner on $20 Gold Rush, and $25 Fortune. For some reason, I made the dumb decision to buy 5 $20 LFL tickets. All 5 were losers. This is possibly one of the worst $20 games to ever be released in FL Lottery history. There's a reason why people don't play this $20 game, it is essentially the true idiot tax.
I stopped by a Publix earlier today, and saw a woman cashing in a $1 Holiday ticket for $300. I looked up the odds, it is over 1 in 26.7k. Astouding! Some people have all the luck, and manage to be at the right place at the right time. I also stopped by the store where a guy won $2M on the $10 Monopoly ticket, the cashier was a bit salty that the winner didn't offer him any type of tip after finding the jackpot. They proudly posted the winning picture in the store. I know the retailer gets the $2000 commission bonus, but I think it would be a nice practice/gesture to tip the cashier. I'd personally tip them at least $1000. Apparently the guy was a local, and he got the hell out of Palm Beach lol. A guy in the store claimed he had been playing for years, so it was cool to hear a long-time scratch off player finally hit it big and was someone in a low-income area who actually could use the money.
Moving forward, I'm done with scratchers for the foreseeable future. With my addictive personality, I'm an "all or nothing" type of guy for the most part so abstaining from playing is essentially the only way I won't get into debt further. I notice several other members from our LP community are doing the exact same thing, so I plan on joining them and wish them support on abstaining as well. I plan on buying 3-5 of the Holiday Raffle tickets, because the odds of 1 in 107k for the $1m or $50k prize is incredible and the cliche notion "you have to be in it to win it". The instant $50 prize, and the chance for a weekly prize also makes it worthwhile.
I'm wishing everyone the best of luck who continues to play!
