I say you don't understand. You play against all other players in US, the odds of winning are the same regardless of which state you live in. It will happen more often that the player who wins live in California, but it dont change your odds of winning. MM is played in almost all of us states, imagine that there was only one state in US, would it change your odds of winning? No.

Edit: also lets say California leaves MM, then statistics say that the second biggest states would have more winners, lets kick that state out also and so on. Well you dont have states that are equal in population, deal with the odds or dont play at all...

Some states have not won in 3 plus years!  The odds of winning are NOT the same for every state.  You must be using the metric measuring system to come out with that load of trash.

I bet all the NO votes are all california people.

You'd be wrong. I'm from Idaho and I voted no.

What a dumb thread. How many times must we have this conversation before some of you get it? The odds are the same whether you live in California or on MARS.

      Seriously?

Again, this only confirms everything I've been writing about in the past year or so despite some here who say it isn't true, when I write that a lot of people just don't understand, 1: the astronomical odds against them winning, and 2: a general understanding about the basics of the games.

If you truly believe you have a better chance because of location, then that's worse than believing you're going to win a major JP in your lifetime, WORSE!

I don't know which one is worse, people who believe 1-2-3-4-5 have worse odds than any other possible combination, or people who fall into the group mentioned above.

People who don't get it, shouldn't even play the game. Crazy

So you don't want to change the current problem with the multi state lotteries then?  You would rather have the same place win all the time?

Kicking out California will not change the odds. You're still probably not going to win. A small state with very little people playing is still not going to get as many wins as states with more people like New York or Texas.

New York tends to get lots of winners. Do you want to kick them out as well?

It's not about the odds, it's about the UNFAIR ADVANTAGE, some states have.  And yes kick out new york out of the multistate lottery too.

They won't get it and never will. I had a similar debate a while back with Cointoss. This is coming from someone who was in the Casino business for a long time. He couldn't understand why more people won with QPs, even after me and many others repeatedly told him that the reason was because about 70% of people play QPs, sooooooooo, more winners will come from QPs.

What advantage, a bigger population? Listen to yourself. Geesh !

                    O M G!!!

                    You are not for real.

First of all, they're not going to eliminate large states, that's just dumb and you know it. The outrage would be overwhelming.

Secondly, there's a 99.9% chance you won't win a major JP in your lifetime anyways, and That's a FACT. So why stress yourself over something that will most likely NOT happen in your lifetime?

I'd suggest you worry over something more down to earth. Green laugh

Consider this, the money that you pay in for those multistate lotteries,  are funding californias illegal immigrant problem.

I don't fund anything in California cause I'm too intelligent to spend money on something I most likely will not experience in my lifetime.

So now you change the subject. Why not stick to the subject at hand? If you move to California, or any other large populated state, your chance will NOT increase. if they eliminate large states from the game, your chance of winning will still be 0.1% of winning.

What part don't you understand? Ask me and I'll explain it in other ways because you don't get it.
