In lottery lore the idea is to travel to the future to get the numbers that will be drawn. I always had a problem with that, because the draw hasn't happened yet. Or, is the future already laid out and planned? If so you get the questions about free will and predetermination.
Or, are there all possible different versions of our lives occurring simultaneously, at all stages of past, and future, converging only in the present? If so, is the same lotto number drawn in all the different realities? Makes my head hurt to think about it.
The power of the mind, as Gary & RL are suggesting can be used to recognize clues. Rather than time traveller, I like to think of it as Lottery detective work.
Hmmm, Tia Texan, Lottery Detective -- has a nice ring!

I like it, you would make a nice Lottery Detective. Include G and RL on your staff.

I agree. The mind is more powerful than we can imagine.
Nostradamus supposedly peered into a vessel of water or some concoction when writing his quatrains.
Edgar Cayce would go into sleep/trances.
Pythias (Oracle of Delphi) drank and bathed in holy water, inhaled fumes before giving her answers while in a trance.
There are/were people with abilities. Maybe we all have them in latent fashion. Maybe we;ve lost them as a result of dealing with the present, or convinced ourselves we can't possibly have them since science can't confirm them.
Of course, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. - Carl Sagan
They said that the Oracles at Delphi did as you say and that they were very accurate.
They also said that Edgar Cayce was very accurate, From where he got his information? They say that either from the minds of others and or from some Universal consciousness.
What you say about Nostradamus is also right, he gazed onto a container that had liquid on it, same can be done with fire, smoke and even clouds.

It is almost funny in a way, both are true, the future like the past are "set on (in?) stone" and yet at the same time there is free will, predetermined or not we still have to go thru it, seems like a laid-out play or script that we follow and yet we do it of our own free will.

There have been those who said that all times exist at the very same time and maybe our minds and or spirits just move along them and or are on all of them at the same time.
All these things sound crazy to me, true or not.
Don't forget to also get a "detective hat" and a magnifying glass.

I loved that show along with the guns of Will Sonnett
Walter Brennan was one of the best character actors who lived. Another one was, Strother, "What we have here is the failure to communicate", Martin. I loved the movies back then,

It depends on who you believe, some say time travel has already been achieved.

Check out and see what CERN has been up to and also what they plan to do next month .... they will surely open Pandora's box, even Stephen Hawkins told them that
We may be on the same wave here RL but many have no clue why we went to war with Germany, it was ll about the BELL until they moved it to IRAQ and then when we invaded IRAQ, what did we take over a museum. What was in this museum,? The BELL, who has it now? Our Give and they hired CERN to rebuild it and make it work. All I can say is we are in for a mess come mid Sept... pray....
Stay In The Vortex, you'll be happy you did ..... Random? Seriously? You want me to believe that?

Sky,
I have read where Hawking was concerned about Cern opening a portal to another world. Who knows if this is possible? He also stated the God particle could destroy the universe. From my experiences from working at SLAC, physicists are from another world, anyway.

The mistake they did in Cern is that they don't use numbered ping pong balls for the collisions. I don't know what Hawkins would or could add to that. Eventually a few balls would drop in a raclette and we might lighten some Gletscher.

What worries me is that they play around in our world. I hope there are lost of oversight.
There have been lots of strange things going on all over the world. Does this look like a
Non like I have seen. I have always said, " if we believe we are the most intelligent form of life, in the universe". That has to be the epitome of conceit. I was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Mt in Dec. 1969. Sometime in the Spring of that year, all hell broke loose with UFO's. You can read about it, search, Malmstrom AFB, UFO sightings. About 3 or 4 years later, at missile site, Oscar-9 or 8, not sure. I received a radio call from Oscar control commander. He asked me, if I saw anything weird? I asked him, weird, in what way. He did not answer. He told me to remove my men off the site, they wanted to do a security reset. He contacted me, about 15 minutes later and told me I was clear to re-enter and re-authenticate. I told him no, we were going to call it a night and we were heading for the LCF. When we arrived, he and his deputy were top side. I asked him, what was the problem? He then told me, if you repeat, what I am going to say, I will deny it and so will my deputy. He told me the missile automatically went into launch stage and he was unable to shut it down. He then told me about the incident mentioned above. The site I was on, was one of the sites, the UFO's were seen. I have never seen anything strange around any of the missile sites, my tour there and I went to every missile site in the wing.

Bob,
I've been lucky enough to see a couple. Not some high in the sky light passing overhead at night. Nope.
We had a beach house on Surfside beach, a spit throw from the jetties, which was the entrance to the Port of Freeport at the time.
I know it was autumn, i had just got home from sports practice. My brothers and I were standing on the porch talking. Beach was packed.
All the sudden we head this loud boom almost like an explosion at one of the chemical plants. People on the beach were pointing back behind the house, up the canal. I went over to see what was up.
First thing I see is this reddish-orange globe, in the air, making its way to the gulf. Behind it is an F110 Phantom. He's cutting a lick trying to catch up. The house was built on stilts maybe 12 feet off the ground, but from point of view it looked like they were below us, barely above the water.
There was bend in the canal and as they approached the bend they angled up over the seawall, coming over the houses in a direct line to the Gulf of Mexico.
They weren't that high as they passed over. The globe pulsed, no markings, and it didn't appear to be in any hurry. Hard to tell how big it actually was because it was giving off its own light. But I'd guess about 20 - 25 foot. It was bigger than the pilot housing (c---pit got snipped) of that plane which was maybe 150 - 200 foot behind it. When I say they weren't that high, we could see the markings on the plane clearly; we could tell when the pilot turned his head and looked down.
At that point it seemed he was just keeping pace. They proceeded out over the gulf, into a cloud bank some distance out. A minute or so after they disappeared there was a flash, like lightning, in the same clouds.
Beach cleared.
There were always stories about UFOs from guys who worked graveyard in the chemical plants or shrimpers who fished the waters off the coast. My dad said he'd seen a triangle shaped one hovering over where he worked. About a week later there was a write up in the paper about some other guys who seen the same thing and it had been reported by police officers or sheriff's deputies at about the same time.
I'm probably here unless I'm not.
Dreaming would be a perfectly useless function if it's only purpose was to entertain.
