Mega Million Lottery Pool #18

The Mega Million Lottery Pool, Game 17 ended with no more wins. So I started Game 18 on Friday October 2nd, 2005.

On our first drawing we won $4.00, so I bought one more ticket for four more drawings. But, since then we have won absolutely, nothing.

I have 23 members in this group, but I this time six of my members paid $20.00, thus buying two shares. So even though I have less members I had more money to spend. We started this game with 29 numbers.

Now, having more numbers didn’t do us any good, but then again, we have only had three drawings. We still have seven more drawings to go. So things could change.

This game is schedule to send after the drawing on Tuesday October 4th, 2005.

Cash Five: We have no Cash Five Tickets for the remainder of this month.

Texas Two Step: We are down to one ticket in this game. Our ticket will expire after the drawing on Monday, August 29th, 2005. Now we didn’t do badly in this category, but others did so much better. This game was won week after week.

I am noticing that someone only wins the Jack Pot once every 3 or 4 months. But, if we can beat the odds and have the winning numbers we would get Two Million Dollars (Cash Option).

Before any attorney fees, taxes or tithes, each of us would get $200,000.00. These would be like every one of us winning the Texas Two Step by ourselves. Believe it or not this would pay off my back taxes. So, I will take it.

I have not spend our $5.00 as of yet. 1) There are no huge Jack Pots at steak. 2) I can’t scan as of right now, so I could not scan any tickets into your newsletter. So I think I will wait until after the drawing on Wednesday to see what we win, then make a decision where to spend our money.

I only have five members who have paid their dues for August 2005:

Remember dues in this game are due on the 30th of each month. I will NOT be working on either the 30th or 31st of this month, so you will need to have your $10.00 to me before those days.

In the Die Hard game, I do not overlap games. This game will die, before I could start Die Hard V. As long as the 10 members paid their dues in August, I will NOT start another Die Hard game, this one will just continue.

But, if only 4 people pay, and we have no wins on the 31st, I will buy tickets for the New Game on Thursday September 1st, 2005.

Guardian Angel on the Job

A man was walking in the street when he heard a voice: "Stop! Stand still! If you take one more step, a brick will fall down on your head and kill you."

The man stopped and a big brick fell right in front of him. The man was astonished.

He went on, and after awhile he was going to cross the road. Once again the voice shouted: "Stop! Stand still! If you take one more step a car will run over you and you will die."

The man did as he was instructed, and a car came careening around the corner, barely missing him.

"Where are you?" the man asked. "Who are you?"

"I am your guardian angel," the voice answered.

"Oh yeah?" the man asked. "And where the hell were you when I got married?"

Mega Millions Lottery Jackpot Increases to $111 million

Saturday, August 27, 2005 2:02 am - Mega Millions: There was no jackpot winner in the Friday Mega Millions drawing, but 4 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $250,000 prize: 1 from California, 1 from Michigan, 1 from Ohio and 1 from Texas.

The results are 5-20-38-47-54, and the Mega Ball is 35.

Last night we had the Bonus Ball 35 and that was all, so we got another $2.00. I spend your $2.00 on the same numbers that expired last night:

12 33 36 37 52 Mega Ball 23

08 25 43 50 56 Mega Ball 13

Right now this game has:

27 tickets in the last drawing on Tuesday August 30th, 2005. If you should win anything under $600, I can pick up the money on Tuesday and buy more tickets. I will extend this game for winnings only. I can’t renew this game because we now have two new members and have lost 12 of the members from this game.

In the even we should win the Jack Pot, The estimated cash value of this jackpot is $68,223,708. So with 25 of us playing in this game, each of us would get, before attorney fees, taxes or tithes:

$2,728,948.32

Mega Million Lottery Pool #18 (will buy tickets on 08/31/2005) will start on Friday September 2nd 2005.

The winning numbers from Tuesday's drawing were: 6, 7, 8, 13, and 40. The Mega Ball number was 12. The Texas Megaplier was 4.

The estimated cash value of this jackpot is $59,110,345

We 25 players in Game 17 we each would get before any attorney fees, taxes or tithes:

$2,364,413.80

We won $2.00 in this game. If we had Megaplied we would have gotten $8.00. Now we had a ticket that expired last night. I used the $2.00 to buy those same numbers for Friday Night’s drawing. It is attached at the end of this letter. Right now this game has:

28 tickets in drawing Friday August 26th, 2005

25 tickets until the last draw until Tuesday August 30th, 2005.

So this is your official notice that Game 17 should end on Tuesday August 30th, 2005. Anything you win that night, I will buy more tickets and extend the game. But, I need to start Game 18 on Friday September 2nd, 2005.

From www.usamega.com: Saturday, August 13, 2005

1:46 am - Mega Millions: There was no jackpot winner in the Friday Mega Millions drawing, but 3 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $250,000 prize: 1 from California and 2 from New Jersey.

For the third time we won Zero Dollars in Friday Night’s drawing. We are half way through this game, and we are not winning, like in previous games. I miss scanning new tickets for you. Maybe by not winning the little money we are on the way to win the big money.

We still have 27 tickets until Tuesday August 23rd, 2005. We will still have 25 tickets until Tuesday August 30th, 2005. Any of them could be the Next Jack Pot numbers.

The Mega Millions jackpot for the drawing on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 is:

$61 million ($37 million cash option) The Jack Pot rose $10 Million in just three days.

From www.ohiolottery.com: The estimated cash value of this jackpot is $36,902,621. This time I like the other Cash Option better, so we will divide $37 Million by 25.

If we should win in Tuesday Night’s drawing each of us would get before any attorney fee’s, taxes or tithes:

$ 1,480,000

I want to thank all the people who have already paid me for Game 18. Three people have double their shares, and if you have already paid, but would like to buy another share, you’re welcome to do so.

If you want to play in Game 19, you will need to have your money to me no later than Monday August 29th, 2005. (I will be off Tuesday August 30th, and Wednesday August 31st, 2005.) I will be buying new tickets on Wednesday August 31st, 2005.

If you want to play in Game 18, and paid the $10 from your last paycheck of the month, you can. Just give me a postdated check, dated for Wednesday August 31st, 2005. I will cash all checks that day before buying tickets.

If you are like me and get paid on Monday August 15th, 2005 and don’t want to give me a check, then you will need to pay me the $10 from the paycheck on the 15th of August.

Right now, I don’t have any new members. I still think that I will be losing at least one member, if that happens I will need to start Game 18. If everyone who is playing in this game plays in the next game, I will not start Game #18, but will just extend this game. (This advantage to this is that any winnings you get on Tuesday August 30th, 2005 will be added to your $10.00 and we could have more tickets.

Compassion With an Umbrella

A Western Buddhist woman was in India, studying with her teacher. She was riding with another woman friend in a rickshaw-like carriage, when they were attacked by a man on the street. In the end, the attacker only succeeded in frightening the women, but the Buddhist woman was quite upset by the event and told her teacher so. She asked him what she should have done - what would have been the appropriate, Buddhist response.

The teacher said very simply, "You should have very mindfully and with great compassion whacked the attacker over the head with your umbrella."

A Lawyer and the Pope Die and Go to Heaven…

A lawyer died. At the same moment, the Pope also died. They arrived at the gates of heaven at the same moment. They spend the day in orientation, and as they're getting their heavenly vestments, the Pope gets a plain white toga and wings, like everyone else, and the lawyer gets much finer apparel, made of gold thread, and Gucci shoes.

Then, they get to see where they're going to live. The Pope gets what everyone else gets, a replica of a Holiday Inn room, and the lawyer gets an 18-room mansion with servants and a swimming pool.

At dinnertime, the Pope receives the standard meal, a kosher TV dinner, but the lawyer receives a five-course meal including caviar, prime rib and chocolate truffles.

By this time, the lawyer is beginning to suspect that an error has been made, so he asks one of the angels in charge, "Has there been some kind of mistake? This guy was the Pope, and he gets what everyone else gets, and I'm just a lawyer and I'm getting the finest of everything?"

The angel replied, "No mistake, sir. We've had lots of Popes here, but you're the first lawyer we've ever had."

One man with courage makes a majority.

I need to tell you a story before getting down to basics.
Early this morning I got an e-mail from one of my new members in Wyoming, he tells me that he has checked out tickets and we won $10.00.  I was excited, because now, I don’t have to check our numbers on line. I can just go to Kroger to get our cash.
I got up late, but was able to catch the 11 a.m. bus down to The Strip on Cedar Springs.  I first had a nice breakfast at Café Brazil, and then caught the bus back up to another member's apartment to pick up a check.  He paid me for the next game (Game 18).
From his apartment, I was able to walk over to Kroger, in this heat and check out tickets.  Most of you know that I run our tickets thru the Texas Lottery Kiosk that they have at most Grocery Stores.  I normally buy out tickets there, too.  These machines are pretty good, but like all machines they break.  It happens on my about every 50th time I use the machine.  I guess it was my day.
Our second ticket gets caught in the machine.  It will not come out.  Of course this puts the machine in an out of order status.
I call a manager over and he looks at the machine and tells me he is not sure they can get it out for me.  I tell him, very politely, that they will get the ticket out, and I am prepared to wait here until they do get it out.
Another manager comes tells me that they key is in a time lock it could be another 15 to 20 minutes before they can unlock the Kiosk.  That is okay, I’m prepared to wait until I get my ticket.
The managers can not understand why I just don’t leave and come back later.  I explained to them that this is NOT just a $1.00 ticket.  It’s a $50.00 ticket that still has at least 7 more draws to it.  The ticket doesn’t belong to me, but rather to my Mega Million Lottery Pool, and I am not talking any chances in leaving the terminal until I get my ticket back.
The 20 minute wait was longer for them, that it was for me.
Now one of our tickets is crumbled, so I can’t use the machine for this ticket again.  I hope we win on it next, so I can get a new ticket.
Now here is the good news. I lost track of our tickets, so went to the Service Center to start the process all over.  I was please to discover that I had won $12.00 on my personal tickets.  I was very more please to discover that my Die Hard Multi-Lottery Pool had won $12.00.  Then, I was elated to find out that my Mega Million Pool had won $12.00, also.  This has never happened before.  (Now I had to go home and do two newsletters.)

Okay my morning and afternoon was not one of my best, and when I left the house, I forgot my Mega Million file.  I wasn’t sure how to spend the $12.00.  Remember I thought we had only won $10.00, so I was prepared to buy us one ticket for 10 draws.  (The lottery is still low, so I didn’t see a need to buy more tickets for less draws.)
But, now I had $12.00 to spend.  I didn’t know which bonus balls to buy, but I knew that I didn’t want to repeat any that I already had.  I had this gut feeling (and most of you know that I follow any gut feelings) that I should split the money in half and buy us 2 lines for six more draws.
I have a problem with one draw tickets.  Sometimes the game they are in are already played by the time I get my members their newsletters.  I don’t even like 2 draw tickets.  But, I can handle six draws.
I just had to trust the system, and go with Quick Picks, praying that we would not duplicate any Bonus Balls.

We got the number 23, which we already had, and the number 13, which we did not have.  Both numbers were Odd Balls.  Okay, I’ll accept this, (like I had a choice in the matter).

One of my members pointed out to me yesterday that the Lotto Texas was bigger than the Mega Million.  Lotto Texas is at $32 Million.  Mega Million was playing for $23 Million. I told him that the Lotto Texas game creeps up about $2 Million between drawings.  The Mega Million game has more players and they can go up $10 million between drawings.
In tonight’s drawing both Jack Pots are at $32 Million.
We still have plenty of time in this game.  We have only had two draws and won a total of $14.00.  A week has not gone by without us winning something.
I found out that we are losing a member, so I will not be able to extend this game.  I have been contacted by yet another person from another state who is interested in playing with us.  If he decides to join, I will need to start Game 18 on time.  This game is scheduled to end on Tuesday August 30th, 2005.

Die Hard Multi-Lottery Pool #3 ends & #4 Starts

Sunday July 30th, 2005

I had 11 members in my Die Hard Mulit-Lottery Pool, and lost three of them.  I was able to add two new members so I started Game #4.

This game is unlike any of my other games, it's people who are Die Hard Lottery Players.  It doesn't have any ending, I only end a game when someone dies, or stops paying their monthly due.

We play all the Texas Games (but not pick 3 or any scratch-off's).

I had collect $100.00 by July 22nd, 2005.  I purchased for the group Cash Five, Texas Two-Step and Lotto Texas.  In the first week we have won $19.00!

So now we have $19 worth more tickets.  And as I tell my Mega Million Group: "More Tickets means More Chances to win."

The Old Poodle

A wealthy old lady decides to go on a photo safari in Africa, taking her faithful aged poodle named Cuddles, along for the company. One day the poodle starts chasing butterflies and before long, Cuddles discovers that she's lost. Wandering about, she notices a leopard heading rapidly in her direction with the intention of having lunch.

The old poodle thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep doo-doo now!" Noticing some bones on the ground close by, she immediately settles down to chew on the bones with her back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap, the old poodle exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder if there are any more around here."

Hearing this, the young leopard halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees. "Whew!, says the leopard, "That was close! That old poodle nearly had me!"

Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So off he goes, but the old poodle sees him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figures that something must be up. The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard. The young leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine!"

Now, the old poodle sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?", but instead of running, the dog sits down with her back to her attackers, pretending she hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old poodle says: "Where's that damn monkey? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another leopard!"

Moral of this story...

Don't mess with old farts...age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! Bullsh*t and brilliance only come with age and experience!

Mega Million Lottery Pools, #15, #16, #17

I’ve been busy today. I just wrote and e-mailed out my newsletters for my newest group, Mega Million Lottery Pool Game 17.

Game 15 is still playing with one number left for tonight. They have 27 players.

Game 16 is still playing with two numbers for tonight and until Friday August 5th, 2005. They have 26 players.

Game 17 started today, with 25 members. I lost four members from Game 16, but gain three more new members. I am please to inform you I have become a National Lottery Pool. One of my members hails from Wyoming. He sees my posts here, and e-mailed me asking if I was open to new members.

Of course, I’m open to new members, more members equals more money, more money gives us more tickets, more tickets gives us more chances to win. Yes to more new members.

I am real excited because I was able to blend all my groups and not overlap on many bonus balls. You know in my last two games we had so much money that I was able to buy the entire even bonus balls, with our winnings I was purchase more tickets with odd bonus balls. We won every week, and now I have three games running.

Of course having someone out of state makes it more exciting for me. And believe or not, my out of state member is one of the easiest people to deal with.

It’s a hassle getting a new game off the ground and it’s time consuming, but with it almost done, I’m pretty happy right about now.

No one won the Jack Pot in last night’s game. So the Jack Pot rose to $145 Million. The Cash Option is worth $88 Million. There are only 26 of us playing in this game (Game 15 is still playing. They have 27 members with one ticket.) $88 Million divided by 26 equals to $3,384,615.38 per person. Did I really need to tell you, that the figure of $3,384,615.38 is before any attorney fee’s, taxes or tithes? I didn’t think so.

Okay, so I knew this morning we had won at least $3.00, because we had the Bonus Ball 02 and in the same line we had the number 09. Bonus Ball plus one pays out $3.00. This is good for us, because we only have another 3 draws on this game.

1 of 5 + BB $ 3 7/15/2005 9 - 13 - 25 - 36 - 48 (2) Megaplier 3X

So I bought us another ticket. We have all the Even Bonus Balls, so I selected for us 41. That is one Bonus Ball we don’t have.

Let me give a recap of what we have in this game. We have 26 players and we started out with 26 tickets. We had most of the Even Bonus Balls, but not all, remember I had purchase some of the Even Bonus Balls twice. That turned out to be good, because 36 came up and we were paid on it twice.

For the next three draws we have a total of 31 tickets for each game. You have every Even Bonus Ball and you have the follows Odd Bonus Balls. 01 (Game 15) 45, 43, 41.

A Grave Tragedy

A man placed some flowers on the grave of his dearly departed mother and started back toward his car when his attention was diverted to another man kneeling at a grave.
The man seemed to be praying with profound intensity and kept repeating, "Why did you have to die? Why did you have to die? Why did you have to die? Why did you have to die?"

The first man approached him and said, "Sir, I don't wish to interfere with your private grief, but this demonstration of pain is more than I've ever seen before. For whom do you mourn so deeply? A child? A parent?"

The mourner took a moment to collect himself, then replied... "My wife's first husband."

Ideas are a dime a dozen. People who implement them are priceless.

- Mary Kay Ash

The Die Hard Multi-Lottery Pool III is doing real well. I thought last night was going to be it. The only thing we had left was Texas Two-Step tickets. But we had over 40 tickets in the drawing.

The Jack Pot wasn’t much, it was only $200,000. Someone from Duncanville had won the $875,000.00 from the previous drawing.

My Die Hard game runs differently than my Mega Million Lotto Pool. The Die Hard people pay me a monthly due of $10.00. I use the money to buy additional tickets for the game, so we never run out.

This game does Cash Five, Texas Two-Step and Lotto Texas. We have in the past done Mega Million, and we still can do that game, but I don’t like to include Mega Million in this game because my Mega Million Lotto Pool has 26 people. If Die Hard won, and they didn’t they would never understand.

All of our tickets expired last night. I knew we had the bonus ball, so I figure that we won $5.00. There were too many tickets to check by hand or even on the computer. I just came back from Kroger and we won $12.00 on our last draw!

I chose to get 6 Texas Two-Step tickets in two draws, so this game is extended until July 21st, 2005.

Some interesting facts: Did you know that all of last night’s winning came from the same ticket, two different lines. Did you know that again you profit from my mistake. I had accidentally picked 09 as our bonus ball twice. Nine was drawn for the bonus ball, so we were paid twice. Did you know that the ticket we won on was the $5.00 ticket I had brought us earlier this week, it was from your $5.00 winnings we had before.

I give my members weekly updates on how they are doing. Did you know that this last update was the 10th one, and I have only given them two updates without tickets? That means that 8 updates have had tickets attached to them?

So what have we learn? One, mistakes paid off. Two, turning winnings back into tickets equals more winnings!! So now we have 6 lines for the next two drawings in Texas Two-Step!

I had 11 members in this pool, but only five people paid their June 30th dues, so I can assume that I lost six people.

I do NOT overlap games in Die-Hard like I do in Mega Million. So Game III will need to die before I can start Game IV.

Because of my Mega Million Lottery Pool tends to collect money on the 15th of the month. I changed the due date of this game to the 30th of each month. That was a big mistake. I had a hard time collecting dues.

I know that I will be losing at least two members, so on Sunday I will begin to canvass for new members for this Lottery Pool.

Because of our new tickets this game is extended until Thursday July 21st, 2005 Game IV can not start until Friday July 22nd, 2005. Now if we have any wins this game will continue.

Regardless of whether or not I get new people if there are no wins from this game, I will start Game IV immediately on Friday July 22nd, 2005.

Die Hard Multi-Lottery Pool #3

My Die Hard Multi-Lottery #3 is doing very well.  This group plays all the Texas Games, except Mega Million.  The Mega game is handled under a separate lottery pool.

We ran out of Cash Five tickets, and I opted not to replace them.

We won most of our money in Texas Two-Step, so I sunk all of winnings into that game.  Right now we have a lot of tickets, with almost all the Even Bonus Balls covered.  Monday night’s Jack Pot is worth $875,000.00.

With 11 of us playing in this pool, each of us would get $79,545.45.  I can hardly wait for Monday night’s drawing.

Mega Million Lottery Pool #16

Sunday July 3rd, 2005

I started Game 16 with 26 people from Game 15.  Only one did not want to play again.  (Game 15 is still playing with one ticket until July 29th, 2005.)

I could not use any of our old numbers because this game now has California in it, and we had a new set of numbers with less Mega Balls.

But, I had enought money that I was to have purchased every Even Bonus Ball.  I made a mistake and purchase five of them twice.

Our tickets are good from Friday June 24th thru July 26th, 2005. This game we have won every week, expect the first game.

We won $2.00 on last Tuesday, and then on this last Friday we won another $5.00.  With our $7.00 total I was able to buy one ticket for the last seven draws in this game.

This group now has 27 tickets for their 26 people.  We have all the Even Bonus Balls, except Mega Ball 46.  As soon as we win enought money, I will get that ball.

Game 15 extend

Game 15 won every week but one.  We ended up with every Even Bonus Ball, and most of the Odd Bonus Balls.

We did not win the Jack Pot, however, but then again, no one else did either.

I have 27 people in this pool and on the last draw they won another $3.00.  So I bought another ticket for them, extending this game until Friday July 1st.

On that $3.00 ticket we had the Mega Ball and two other numbers, winning us another $10.00.

So I purchased a single line for 10 draws.  That ticket doesn't expire until Friday July 29th, 2005.

I was canvasing for new members for Game 16 and 26 people from this group joined Game 16.  (I was hoping everyone would play again, and I could just renew this group).
