its frustrating as hell to win so many times yet profit so little. one day i was on a hot streak and won nearly 20 ticks in a row out of roughly 25 played of $20 and $25 tickets. only ended up profiting a little over a hundred due to the $30 / money back wins. better than loosing big though

Met this CT clerk that won 100k but lost it on a bad house deal with his ex. He said he use to win alot back in 2001 but not anymore. Thought he was joking but he knew every ticket in the bin.

Not much action today. Bought 10 GRT's all losers. Bought ONE $20 lucky for life got * $100  - bought ONE $20 Monopoly got $100. GRT might be running low on 2nd tier prizes.

        I bought 3 tickets today.

        1 $1 Cash King(#111)- lost

        1 $2 Rainbow Blackout Bingo- (#44) - won $14

also 1 Great Big Bingo (#7)- haven't scratched yet will update

I like that $2 Bingo game a lot.  The odds are the worst out of $2 tickets (1:4.11) but it gives out better prizes than other $2 tickets.

I lost on the $5 Bingo.  I will probably pick up another 1 tomorrow or later tonight after I cash the $14 winner.

Wow ZZ--you have more guts than I do, no doubt about it.  Your earlier narrative of running through good old Alachua County motivated me to pull $200 out of the ATM so that I could try store after store in my locale.  I bravely headed out to my local Publix (everybody seems to win there, right?), bought one 100X, and headed to my car expecting to go immediately thereafter to another nearby lottery provider.  Before heading on my way, however, I scratched and scratched, and slowly won my $25 bucks back.  Sweet!

But then, out of no where, the dread hit me: what if I hit a winless streak at the following store after store?  What if I start chasing loss after loss only to end up pissed and broke at the end of the day?  Well, clearly I lack the gusto which you have, and that may explain why I absolutely love your posts.  I'm exhausted going through the exhiliration of your running from store to store, wondering if you might break even, or better yet, have a profit at the end of the chase.  Good stuff that's for sure. . . but wow, what a complete realization that I just can't do it myself.  I've always been a "one-expensive-ticket-every-now-and-then" kind of player I guess, and apparently I'm going to stay that way.

Anyway, I say you should play 100X.  Though I prefer the orange letters over the green, the game still has the most number of winners still out there.  And hell, as little as I play, I've managed to do alright isolated ticket after ticket--though in all candidness, I'm down $30 adding everything up.

Still fun though. . . So with all of the above being said, good luck to you!  (And thanks for getting me to register.)  :-)  I look forward to reading more from you in the future.

LLoyd, I don't think I'm braver than anyone else. If I don't violate my own rule, once I hit a winner (any) I leave. If that means leaving a $500 or $1K to the next person, so be it. I won't be greedy and hopefully will hit it when it's my time.

Maybe it was a fluke with 100X but except for I think 1 winner, everything was above $25, either $40, $50, or $100.

Think of it this way. Let's say you bought 1 $25 ticket and it's a loser. OK, you bought 1 ticket and lost, not the end of the world. That's the chance everyone takes.

Next you buy a 2nd ticket. That one happens to be $25 winner. Not great since you are still down $25, but it's no different than had you just scratched off 1 loser and been out $25, but you got to scratch 2 tickets off for the price of 1.

Let's say that 2nd ticket was a $50 winner. Great, now you're back to even as if you hadn't played anything that night, so it's like a "do-over" and if you were willing to take the chance the first time, then taking the exact same chance again shouldn't be an issue.

Even better if the first ticket you play is a winner, then you get a buffer to abosrb any potential losing streaks to stay above the profit line or end back at where you started, which means you get multiple chances to play for $5M/$1M or other 2nd tier prizes for free.

The thing I think helps is to play 1 ticket at a time and not buy in bulk. If someone snaps up the next ticket while your scratching your one and you can't tell if they had a winner or loser, then leave the location and try somewhere new, whether you win or lose on the ticket you are scratching. But avoid buying in bulk, live 3 or 4 in a roll because it will suck to get a $100 winner on the first ticket only to have losers following it wiping out the profit. I'd rather take the odds and pick up the big winner, then go for another roll at another location.

It seems the $20 games might have better odds in FF and GRT and Monopoly which is why I played those on Wednesday.

Also, one thing I also did when I traveled is I'm a little numbers paranoid. Although there probably is no pattern, I think the safest series of tickets run between #011-#20, especially on the $20. Sure, there could be exceptions to the rule. High amounts can be found anywhere, but those dry streaks seem to be less riskier here, even if all there are is even-money winners. If the ticket #'s were higher than #025, I usually didn't play at that location. I do like the low numbers as well and thought they were good too, that was until I ran into GRT #002-#008 last Wednesday, which were all losers.

That reminds me, I had a question on scratching.

I usually will scratch the winning numbers section first.

When I go through the 4 rows ($20) or 5 rows ($25) in the Your numbers section, I notice that if anything is going to match, it's usually in the first 2 rows ($20) or 3 rows ($25). Does anybody have an example ticket of not matching anything on the ticket until the very last row?

Finally won something worthwhile, but at the casino this time. Went to Ft Lauderdale airport to drop someone off. Had time to spare so I swung by Hard Rock, which is just 10 minutes away. Played the $1 slot at $3 a spin for about an hour and lost $150. Figured it was time to go but thought I will pass by the high roller room first. Saw the $100 WOF and figured ok, just one spin. On my first spin I got the bonus and won $3K !! Filled out the paperwork and got the money. Then I saw this guy playing the $1K machine. He bought a $10K voucher and lost every spin. I saw this as my chance for something big. My first time ever and I bought 1 credit and spun it !!!!! Came up bar bar nothing. The last reel spun longer than the others. Yeah, I was pissing myself, lol.  Would of been $20K btw. Anyways I left after that. Its a pretty sick feeling losing $1K so fast, but I figured hey, Im up so I will give it a try.

Had a really bad week, im not playing for a whole week, then ill start playing 1 or 2 tickets, hopefully i will get out of this bad streak. Last tuesday i went to a gast station and played $20 millionaire jumbo 000-006, got back $25, down $115. Then went to another gas station and played various $20 $10 and $2 tickets, lost $80 bucks, so down $195 for the day. Yesterday, again played various tickets and lost $60, so down $255 for the week, just horrible. I need a $500+ win to get out of this one, i hope soon. Falcon out.

Nice win. I would have probably done the same just to say I did it. I went to the high roller room and I am not sure I saw anything over $100, but then again I wasn't really looking. Just walking through to see what it was like. Are they obligated to separate them? If it was anything like the lottery, I could see them mixing it in and people not realizing they put a $100 in a "$1" machine only to get one spin and gone.

I only played off my winnings from this week. My bank card expired on 1/1, and it never left the house, so I can say I haven't taken money out for lottery in almost 2 weeks. It's a good feeling not having to come home daily to write in the check book.  My new plan will be like alot of others. Back to small plays. $20 on a Friday or maybe taking out $50 on payday(every other week) and having that to play. No more $1o0-$200 days thinking I have a hunch cause I never visited place X before.

Stopped at my normal spot to get drinks on Friday and get the last 2 $5 tickets he had on a roll. Ran into the big spender and we got talking. I asked him about the new tickets(he seems to only play $20's). I asked if he hit and he said nothing over $250. He said he isn't even getting the smaller wins anymore and he always buys 8 from the pack at a time. I know Matt and DR combined for $2k on them, but seems to be more that oddity rather than the norm of years past on the new tickets in the early weeks.

Thanks man. $3K is the minimum you can win when you get the 'Spin' symbol on the last reel. From what I heard, it triggers the bonus 1 in every 100 spins or so. I see people hit it all the time whenever I go. Their $2K buy-in might last them hundreds of spins as if you dont line anything up you get your credit back.

I got 2 $3 Hearts are Wild tickets from the Beer Wine Deli I bought 1 from yesterday.  #44 ended up winning $500.  It was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise.  I cashed it and got 1 $5 Great Big Bingo, and $10 on Multimatch and $10 on 5 Card Cash.  I tried to tip the guy that sold it to me $10 but he didn't want to accept a tip.

Got $100 win at wawa on holiday gifts #029.

Had 2 gifts for $50 ea.

I usualy hate that ticket but for only buying one I'm happy with that.

                              Congrats winners!
