Snagged a $500 on Gold Rush today on a single ticket purchase at my local BP. Ticket number 24. Triple $100 and bunch of $20s and $40s. I'm back on my daily $100/$500 streak on GRT. To all the FL guys not having success on this game--Ive been playing for two months now and have won 6 $500s on GRT. Nothing over $100 on any other game. I absolutely hate the $25 game, $20 Monopoly (new and old), and Flamingo Fortune. I used to buy multiple tickets at a time and chase non winning tickets with no success because my wins would be canceled by losses. Almost never would have back to back winners and the same was true when I bought rolls. I would recommend buying 1 ticket from each bin and one ticket only regardless of the outcome. If you can have this kind of disclipine I think you will be a lot more successful. Good luck homies.

I got 2 $3 Hearts are Wild tickets from the Beer Wine Deli I bought 1 from yesterday.  #44 ended up winning $500.  It was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise.  I cashed it and got 1 $5 Great Big Bingo, and $10 on Multimatch and $10 on 5 Card Cash.  I tried to tip the guy that sold it to me $10 but he didn't want to accept a tip.

    Nice. Awesome find.

      Hi Gib Dogg,

Congratulations on your winning 500 on Gold Rush and on your success on wining 100 and 500 dollars on the GRT. I agree with you about buying one ticket and no more. When I was playing scratchers that's what I tried doing for about 4 months before I stopped buying them. I would either buy just one ticket or buy 1 ticket and scratch it in the store and if I lost would buy 1 more of the same ticket and leave the store. The sting wasn't so bad that way. I also never won back to back on scratch tickets when I had bought a bunch in a row.

Finally won something worthwhile, but at the casino this time. Went to Ft Lauderdale airport to drop someone off. Had time to spare so I swung by Hard Rock, which is just 10 minutes away. Played the $1 slot at $3 a spin for about an hour and lost $150. Figured it was time to go but thought I will pass by the high roller room first. Saw the $100 WOF and figured ok, just one spin. On my first spin I got the bonus and won $3K !! Filled out the paperwork and got the money. Then I saw this guy playing the $1K machine. He bought a $10K voucher and lost every spin. I saw this as my chance for something big. My first time ever and I bought 1 credit and spun it !!!!! Came up bar bar nothing. The last reel spun longer than the others. Yeah, I was pissing myself, lol.  Would of been $20K btw. Anyways I left after that. Its a pretty sick feeling losing $1K so fast, but I figured hey, Im up so I will give it a try.

That reminds me, I had a question on scratching.

I usually will scratch the winning numbers section first.

When I go through the 4 rows ($20) or 5 rows ($25) in the Your numbers section, I notice that if anything is going to match, it's usually in the first 2 rows ($20) or 3 rows ($25). Does anybody have an example ticket of not matching anything on the ticket until the very last row?

I might have posted one like that, where the very last number on the bottom right was a match..it happens. I'm in PA but

assume they're pretty much set up the same - TO EITHER PLAY WITH YOUR MIND AND GIVE EITHER ONE OFF's OR REVERSED

NUMBERS (13/31, 12/21, 23/32) or throw a little bone at the very end where you have instant (although little) faith restored

          in the game.

Usually, they matches are in mid section..and have seen them on the first number scratched on the top left.

I guess the layout of the tickets are about the same with any state....but do wonder too if anyone notices the little games

they play on numbers: reversing, being one of on almost EVERY 'your number' and using 22 instead of 33, 1 instead of 11,

          19, 29, 39 instead of the 9 you need.

Oh and btw, I like to scratch the play field first...looking for symbols or multiple numbers...then go up and do the YOUR NUMBERS.

Got $100 win at wawa on holiday gifts #029.

Had 2 gifts for $50 ea.

I usualy hate that ticket but for only buying one I'm happy with that.

            Congrats winners!

Good one on the Holiday ticket Chris$!! I don't care for those either but had 10 gifts on one of the latest ones so that

Came back from a meeting this morning and stopped at the Chevron at I-75 & Williston. Never been there before since the last time I passed it it looked closed or dark.

Bought 1 GRT #008 - It was a loser. Bought #009 which was for $20

He had 2 other rolls, one was on #025 and the other was #029. I decided to play #025. It was $100. So I cashed and left +$60. Slowly getting what I lost last Wednesday back.

                I second what Dr wrote:

Yes, good wins can come from the bottom row or very last spot. I have had both a nugget on GRT and the GO symbol from Monopoly on the very last spot.

And I am BIG TIME in agreement about the one-offs and reverse numbers, I despise that because it is an obvious trick. You'll have winning numbers of 12, 23, 31, 28, 5, and 7, and I guarantee you that YOUR numbers will include  21, 32, 13, 38, and 6.... Often times side by side. For instance, in the winning numbers you have a 23 and 12 side by side, well in the play area will be a 32 and 21 side by side...

And I scratch off the winning numbers first-- that way when you scratch off YOUR numbers, one at a time, you're only comparing that number to the winning numbers (less numbers) instead of scratching off all of YOUR numbers first, because then you are searching through all those numbers to see if you matched one. Too many numbers to search through and easier to overlook.... Scratch the WINNING numbers first (smaller pool of numbers) and then go one at a time with YOUR numbers. Makes it easier and reduces your chances of overlooking a win.

Completely agree dr. Anytime I have 10 20 there is a 30. It's the same in fl. If my # hasn't app reared by the 6th # out of the top 10 I already know it's likely a loser. If you ever see a letter in the bottom play field you know instantly if you won like Vcw hrf new eyf and I'm sure there's a few losing codes I'm forgetting. The winning codes in fl that I get are 1 one 2 two 3 thr 5 fiv 10 ten 15 ftn 20 twy 25 Tfv 30 thy 40 fry 50 fty 100 Hun 500 fhn. I play the play field first always and scratch so carefully so I don't scratch a letter which are in the bottom two rows. They spoil the scratch. If you ever don't know if you won they are a great way to double check your ticket before tossing it

                      James,

I have been tempted to try that also since the game is new. I have never bought a roll of $5 games. For this game, I have $65 of losing tickets entered into the second chance drawing. (13 tickets)

I have won a total of $55 on this game. ( One winner of $30, one of $15, one of $10)

So: 16 bought at $5 each = $80 spent over all

3 won for a total of        $55 in winnings

LOSS of $25 over all, with 13 entries into the second chance drawing. (Basically to make you feel good for a brief period of time about the over all loss, thinking that you'll win something in the drawing)

The $30 win was by matching 6 numbers.

I do like the way the game scratches, and I like the look of the bold lettering against the light background. Is that what I'm paying for??? Hahahha!!!!!

In PA they got rid of the codes..they said it was too easy to cheat..yeah, right...like, they were all over the game play area, how

can you cheat? They pulled the parenthesis too in the game awhile back..it was so easy to scratch the line number and see if you

won in the line of numbers...it would go like this - 124243(100)3456498 - something easy like that anyway. Soo, now they just

have the scan to win/lose block. WHO can even trust THAT?...sometimes I wonder. I liked the letter coding, it was a good way

to verify winning quickly. Now you gotta stand behind someone who is in line or say Excuse me..reach in and scan your stupid

ticket and watch them watch you..and sometimes even have the nerve to want to discuss what you won or didn't. I don't have

time for small talk most times and can't be bothered by chuckles and questions. I'm strictly business and only have patience

for the elderly...anyone under 65 keep on moving along unless you can fool me that you're not digging...and you can't.

Perfect example right here... So tired of GRT, selected the button for Flamingo Fortune and Gold Rush came out! WTF! I love Gold Rush, but it has been awful here in Miami lately.

This is a loser, code VTE, and look at the numbers. I mean, just what we were talking about. Even has the 34, with a 3 and 4 next to each other in the winning numbers. I mean the picture can't tell the story any better. So ticked off right now.

And just as Gibb Dog pointed out, this one also had a 20 and 30 in the play area (10 in the winning area) and a 23 in the play area (23 in the winning area)

Anyway, here is a pic just for the heck of it. Yes, believe me I scratched the rest of it off, double checked it, it is a loser. But this pic tells the tale perfectly.

Sorry, meant to type that it has 32 in play area, 23 in win area. See entirely scratched ticket here.
