I suggested you learn programming as I'm doing all over again since everything I learned in the older versions of Basic(GWBasic) isn't worth knowing now that Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft.
I down loaded a free copy of JustBasic and after a couple of days studying it tried to covert one of GWBasic program and found out they may look similar but they're very different lanuages, for one thing there is no way to covert the DATA and READ instructions in GWBasic to JustBasic. The program has to be rewritten in a completely different way. JB came with a six week tutorial and I'll probably need every bit of those weeks and then some before I start converting any of my programs to run in the newer versions of Windows.
I've been happy with Liberty Basic. It's not always changing to grab a few more of your bucks.

JustBasic is free and if I like it I can buy Liberty Basic for less than I've already spent on Visual Basic years ago and everything new that I learn will still apply. Since I'm only interested in rewriting some old lottery programs for myself, it will more than suit my needs.

How is the speed compared to VB and java?
I have no idea since I don't know those languages well enough to write programs in them. I'm still learning JustBasic, for the answers to your question you need to consult someone who can program in them as well as Liberty Basic. I can't program in any of them. What ever their speed, any of them will be faster than paper and pencil.

I stand corrected, JB does have DATA and READ statements and many other things I learned in GWBasic, they just has to be written using a different syntax. It doesn't require double and single precision numbers be declared either. I was able to convert one of my simpler GWBasic program ODD CALCULATION to JB this weekend so learning it may not be as much effort as I first envisioned for my 72 year old brain. JB may have enough power I won't have to upgrade to Liberty Basic.

About every 2 or 3 months, I get the notion that there might be someone who visits LP regularly who would offer to help
those of us who aren't so smart - when it comes to lottery games, workouts, schemes, coding, and what not.
I've done this before.
And like before, I'm going to step back because, with a few exceptions, it's clear that folks are not here to help anyone - just themselves.
But, that's life. Self preservation and self interest rule the day.
One of my grand kids got me a Netflix account.
Wow! Lots of TV shows and movies. Think I'll watch all the old Breaking Bad and Walking Dead shows.
I'm going to be busy. I just hope my eyesight doesn't fail!
I've pretty well stated the reasons for my current participation in this comedy. No sense in repeating anything.
I have a paper and pencil workout. It works, now and then.
Automation would help.
RJOH suggests I learn programming, as he did.
Well, I tried that but one needs a pretty sharp memory for that. Mine seems to fail, now and then.
I realize, as riscknight said, that there is danger in offering anything of value at this site.
I've never intended to present the whole workout. I've deliberately omitted some important procedures.
There are other, more confidential means of communicating, when needed.
Again, like riscknight said: Y'all take care for now ... best wishes.

Tell you what I'm willing to do as a regular LP visitor after I get done learning JustBasic and rewriting all my old GWBasic programs to run in Windows 8, I'll send you a link to the free JustBasic and tutorial that I'm using to teach myself to program if it will help.

I don't think it's a lack of interest, it's a lack of time. Most lottery programmers have a very long to do list.
It's not easy bouncing around trying to understand something new let alone start another new project
that may or may not pan out. I have about a dozen projects going right now and several more coming.
A small portion of these are lottery related and I have had to put most of my stuff on hold. The lottery
is just a hobby but if I could afford it I would crunch numbers full time. Many past attempts have gone
south but it's amazing how much one can gain from these failures. Don't give up on what your doing
even if you have to go it alone using pen and paper. Writing stuff down has advantages that you can't
get using software. I buy spiral notebooks by the dozen and fill them front and back with little hand
workouts. There's Something about eye/hand coordination that just can't be matched with software.
Some of the most successful lottery players I know don't use software at all.
RL
BINGO....BINGO...BINGO...now that is what I am talking about...pen and paper...thats all I have used for over 20 plus years and it works just fine...in fact..I think I have learned more from using pen and paper and seeing what I have done....maybe its just a GENERATION GAP...kids today are so much smarter than we are with computers and how they work...its embarrassing my 12 year old daughter can operate a smart phone and a computer 100 times better than I can....because I am use to pen and paper...they are being raised and taught on COMPUTERS from the time they start school...and most have access to them even before they start FIRST GRADE...
I know that sounds really OLD FASHION as they say...but I am just more comfortable with pen and paper..and like the gentleman said...SPIRAL NOTEBOOKS are our COMPUTERS..we keep everything in them....I have filled up more notebooks designing run after run than you could possibly imagine..and everything that I have learned and deemed worthy of keeping...I keep it stored in my SQUASH....because when I found something that I knew was important...I learned it well enough that I could dispose of that notebook...AFTER i DISCOVERED MY code THAT i USE...THE NEXT DAY i filled up A 33 GALLON garbage bag with old notebooks and 100's of sheets of typing paper where I had been experimenting...but once I discovered that CODE..I knew a large portion of my HUNTING WAS OVER...
Now most people will say alot of people here are greedy and unwilling to share their knowledge...and that is probably true to a certain degree...but on the other hand...people want to protect their work at all cost...take me for an example...I have been a member here since 2006...when I got here...I told everyone they were going in the wrong direction after reading most of what everyone was doing on here.....AND like most of them and many today even still...think MATH IS THE WAY TO GO just because they see a bunch of numbers ..for some reason they think it has to be MATH...but it isnt...ONE GENTLEMAN said LIFE IS MATH...well..MATH CAN only solve anything that has CONSTANT VARIABLE..and that is all it can do...the reason THEY say MATH IS THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE is BECAUSE THE universe is full of constants...CONSTANT SPEEDS...MOTIONS...ROTATIONS...DISTANCES...ACCELERATION AND SO ON and so forth...but IF MATH IS LIFE...then there should be a ABSOLUTE MATHEMATICAL FORMULA that will tell you where the next murder will be...the next bank robbery...the next car wreck..in what city...the kind of car it is...and what time of day it will happen...the next time a thunderstorm will hit...the next tornado...in what state..or city...but MATH CAN NOT TELL YOU THOSE THINGS...because they are suppose to be RANDOM EVENTS...and guess what...MATH CANNOT SOLVE RANDOM....
There is no secret mathematical formula you can put into a computer that will tell you the outcome of any RANDOM EVENT...even if you were to be able to sit down and write out every single VARIABLE IN THE SMALLEST LOTTERY GAME..the pic 3...and you loaded them into your computer using TOP SECRET FORMULA X...you still couldnt find the ORDER OF ARRANGEMENT of all those variables...meaning, in which order would all those variables would appear in the future....because not only do their order change but the order of arrangement of those variables begin to expand the further into the future you go...meaning there is noway you will ever get a lock on every variable on a daily basis because the field begins to expand and you cant keep up...they start moving farther and farther apart leaving you stuck in the past trying to find out what will show on WEDNESDAY AND SATURDAY...

I may have to take a closer look at Visual Basic, some of the things I got use to in GWBasic just can't be duplicated in JustBasic. Knowing where the cursor is at all times and having different colored characters on the same page when writing text in importance to the programs I want to rewrite.

lotterybraker,
I assume you agree with the definition of randomness that you quoted above:
"Randomness means lack of pattern or predictability in events.[1] Randomness suggests a non-order or non-coherence in a sequence of symbols or steps, such that there is no intelligible pattern or combination."
If what you mean by "solving random" is the ability to predict the next event, previousely considered random, then, according to the definition, the event would no longer be random, would it?
What alternatives to mathematics do you suggest to accomplish this change of state?

LotteryBraker,
Since you haven't replied to my above quoted earlier post, you may have overlooked it. It's encouraging to read your more recent posts in other threads where you staunchly defend the fact that lottery draws, especially those based on mechanical ball machines, are random. However, you still seem to think there is some way to "SOLVE" it.
Please take another look at my above post and see if it helps you to rethink your belief.

After looking a closer look at all the BASICs available I found Basic256 which was once KidBasic designed for children of all ages even as old as me. It seems to have everything I need to rewrite all my old GWBasic programs to work in Windows 8 plus a few added commands like "say" that speak instead of print. I downloaded a PDF e-book manual and I'm almost ready to start rewriting my programs after only reading the first two chapters.
