"We all know that money won't buy happiness, but I will take it over being BROKE any day!"

So if I ever win I will let you everyone know if I am happier broke or as a multi-millionaire. The

choice to me is obvious.

    That is debatable.

I'm willing to bet you a thousand bucks someone who is unhappy because they have to work 50 hours + a week at a job they hate to make ends meet, can't afford healthcare, lives in an undesirable part of town in a one bedroom apartment, drives a car which could break down at any time and couldn't afford to fix it, living paycheck to paycheck worrying whether the light bill and rent will be paid on time,  eating unhealthy food cause they can't afford otherwise, can't help family members who need financial help, hasn't taken a vacation for 20 years because they can't afford one, can't buy new clothing, will disagree with you.

First of all it's one third, and secondly, not everyone does what the one third does, and that's why the two thirds are still happy. Thirdly, If the one third are gonna end up unhappy again, what's the harm? At least they had it good for a while. So you've accomplished nothing by your observation.

Do me a favor Raven, If you win the JP, just give it to me so I can be unhappy. I'll spare you the aggravation....Crazy

I simply don't understand some of the comments in this thread. What?

I mean, what's the bottom line here folks? I'm gonna start a poll that deals with this and want to see who is gonna B.S. me and who's the honest ones. The question in this thread was whether you'd be happy or not, but I must ask, the people who've commented here saying it wouldn't bring happiness, does this mean you'd turn the money away because it may cause unhappiness?...I don't get it. You can't have it both ways. You can't play mother Theresa in one breath, then turn around and take the money anyway. It's one or the other in my book.

          What a surprise! LOL

I guess it's LP culture trickling down.

It's a pain to have to give credit to the original authors you quote.

              Isn't it?

However, if you're not careful, it can cost you.  Just ask the man.

Excuse me for not crediting him but I happen to be drunk at this time of the morning.

Would you mind expanding on what "the full extent" implies?  It would also be interesting to know why geography would be the only impediment to your desired intentions.  Wouldn't you need to know more than the state I live in?  That's all that's available to you at this website.

Ah Jeeeze, now I gotta explain geography to the imbecile.

                      Listen up, creep.

You're a flatlander. It's much easier to walk on flat land than it is in mountainous terrain.

It would be much more difficult for you to sashay here in the mountains.

                      Especially in heels.

                      Get it?

                      Now please stop stalking me.

I realize that your favorite person to stalk, Josephus Dorkimus, has moved on and you have no one to pester and annoy about anything so you have chosen me for the time being but it's getting really old, don't you think?

No one here really cares about anything you have to say and I know you realize that and it angers you but it's not my fault. I'm sure your relatives and anyone you've ever had necessity to be close to have told you how annoying and unlikeable you are so there's no need for me to get into that here. Just add me to the list of people who would rather not have you around them if you don't mind. Like everyone else you've ever been in proximity of, you creep me out.

Your hero and his hope and change socialist ideas have been a total disaster for this country and I know that bothers you and the fact that myself and other patriotic Americans predicted it has turned out to be the icing on your crow pie. Millions of people are out of work, nobody can afford gas for their cars, our credit rating has been downgraded and we're headed for collapse with the guy you predicted would save us. Well, he was wrong and you were wrong and now you want to lash out at patriotic Americans about it because admitting you were wrong and that your ideas were a total disaster is something you just can't countenance.

Your idol will be sent packing next election if he doesn't bring us to total collapse and destruction before then. Get used to the idea. It's a done deal. I know that thought makes you hate this country even more than you do now but oh well, you'll just have to adjust I guess.

In conclusion, I'd just like to reiterate my request. Please stop stalking me. I have no desire or need to hear from you ever again and you in kind can avoid my comments that you find offensive. Certainly you must have family members or neighbors you could annoy rather than me and other members here. Why not whine to and pester them for awhile just for a change of pace and variety? Surely one of them has broken a rule or said something offensive that needs to be reported to some authority. See? There really are other outlets for your penchant for complaining and ratting people out.

Just please, whatever you decide to do, leave me out of it.

                      Just go away, OK?

                      Thanks ever so much.

Joker17, I think that creative people are the happiest people in the world, i.e. musicians, composers, artists, writers. They are all true mystics. And many of them do not have alot of money, but they are doing what they want to do, even if it involves sacrifice. I heard the other day on Oprah that the happiest people in the US work as travel agents, clergy, teachers of children with special needs, and firefighters.

I do agree that the song's words are wrong. Money can buy happiness. Wink Money buys FREEDOM!Guitar

If YOU win the lottery, will the money buy you happiness?

If I win the lottery, money won't buy me happiness. I am already happy. In fact a huge lottery payout will give me more responsibilies. It will be a blessing.

It will help me to continue my work. To make the less fortunate happy.Lover

                            Thanks ever so much.

                            rdgrnr,

Do you really believe readers here will buy your botched denial of your [not too] veiled threat to me?

                            Again, No Cigar!

Your post above is right out of your Playbook.

It brings to mind those Wikipedia "Nazis" I read about here in the past.

BTW, I'm doubtful any significant elevation changes would be necessary to find us in close proximity.

Get real Nancy, if anything is (not too) veiled here, it's your fawning amorosity for me. News flash: Not Interested.

                              And it's not because you're a nazi that I don't like you.

I'm like everybody else here, I just don't like you.

Even though you are in fact - a nazi.

                              Please stop harassing me.
