        Don't jump the gun tiggs95!

I haven't agreed to anything with my "OK."   rdgrnr claims I'm stalking him.  Look back at the archives to see who does most of the "stalking" here.  You'll find it's not me.  I comment on fallacious reasoning and respond to attacks.  Besides, I'm more interested in the source of his ideas and his apparent untouchability here at LP.

You kept your word for 2 hours and 35 minutes. That's probably a record for you.

          Congratulations.

I would not look for it to buy me happiness as much as peace of mind.....to pay off the bills and have a piece of car that runs winter and summer, and not have to worry about going out in bad weather if I do not wish to.....just turn over and go back to sleep..

            AMEN!

Once our basic needs (Maslow's Need Hiercharcy - Food, Shelter, Clothing, etc.) are met, money may not increase our happiness. Money magnifies our state of mind as it exists.  If we've not been good stewards of our money in the present (via money skills, financial education courses, lifeskills, etc. ) a windfall magnifies the poor money management skills that are present.  That being said, a windfall, when managed to meet long term goals, can provide the financial security, freedom and peace of mind  for individuals, their families , loveones and/or friends they care about.  It also plants the seeds to help one reach  their goals , dreams or aspirations rather they be personal, business, or charitible to achieve their dreams and/or aspirations.

                I'm already happy.

All that dadgum money'll buy me a helluva lot more fun though - whiskey, wimmins and nothin' but good times 24/7/365 fer me and all my rowdy friends.

Leastways fer a couple years or so.

How wonderful!  You're "already happy". Smile

That's terrific Ridge!  No wonder your messages

                make me smile!

                  Hi redhot7,

I really don't know if it will or not, so I discarded my vote.

Joker asked a similar question, and I had to discard my vote on that one too.

I know what money "can't buy me love".

Ridge, we need some Beatles lyrics over here. lolol ;)

That's a great song. I think I'm going to go look the lyrics up.

Good questions though, both yours and Joker's, imho!

                  I dunno the answer.

                  Best,

                  Karinda

You must understand That the touch of your hand Makes my pulse react

That it's only the thrill Of boy meeting girl Opposites attract

You must try to ignore That it means more than that

[Chorus:] Oh what's love got to do, got to do with it

What's love but a second hand emotion

What's love got to do, got to do with it

It may seem to you That I'm acting confused When you're close to me

                    There's a name for it

                    There's a phrase that fits

But whatever the reason You do it for me [Chorus] I've been taking on a new direction But I have to say I've been thinking about my own protection It scares me to feel this way

                      Can't buy me love, love
                      Can't buy me love

I'll buy you a diamond ring my friend if it makes you feel alright
I'll get you anything my friend if it makes you feel alright
'Cause I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love

I'll give you all I got to give if you say you love me too
I may not have a lot to give but what I got I'll give to you
I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love

Can't buy me love, everybody tells me so
Can't buy me love, no no no, no

Say you don't need no diamond ring and I'll be satisfied
Tell me that you want the kind of thing that money just can't buy
I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love

"Money magnifies our state of mind as it exists."

IMHO, this is it in a nutshell!

                        Thanks,

                        Karinda
