I did not see the new LFL games this morning.

I played 5 of the 5MJP, #1-5, 0,0,0, 50 FAST SPOT, 0 ended up with the typical 50% return on this game.

I put in 27 (each mega number with 5 number QP) for SuperLotto Plus tonight.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of the new $10 and $5 Lucky Life (LL) games.($2 and $1 are same as LFL) Yeah, less top heavy, better midrange, but still not a great game to play compared to regular games. And others have said, big hit on the top tier prizes odds:

Thanks for the spreadsheet along with its macros to provide an analysis. Less tickets printed this time, 18million for the new $10 one, and 30 million for the old $10 one. From a 2nd chance perspective, its a good thing.

The part I am paying most attention to is the return for Ticket to $100 prize which is more frequent in $10 games, the new ones provide 4% more of your money back which is substantial. Only about 1% EV return is for prizes between $100 and the GP, so it still is an all or nothing feel.

The top prizes assume the player takes the weekly prizes, if the lump of the $10 GP is taken its dropped down to 10.4% for tier return and ~70% overall return. Only a handful of people will cross that bridge.

Sounds like were looking at the similar things. I usually look at what the return is at the "couple hundred plays" level, wherever that is for the game or denomination. That's just my arbitrary measure point. Everyone has their own.

My sheet is a bit bigger than I usually show, nothing fancy, but just the numbers I like to see:

I thought about automating this but too lazy. There's other people doing automatic pulls and storage of scratch data, but never seen anybody with more than basic analysis. They could be doing much more.

Would you buy Diamond no 020?

          025 - $0

024 - don't know as someone else bought it

          023 - $0

022 - don't know as someone else bought it

          021 - $30

          020 - ???

Sales of Diamond is slow at this store so unless I go after 2 days, I should be able to snag 020.

Went in today and got the 020...haven't scratched yet ;-)

Went against my gut and purchased a few of the new CA Lucky Life...  Purchased 4 of each one.   A big goose egg on every single ticket.  I will not buy anouther ticket of these games...

                  4 of each $1, $2, $5, $10?

Id expect $1 and $2 to be mostly losers, but $5 and $10 is tough.

I bit and bought one $10 LFL last night at an Albertsons, won $15. Cashed and got $10 cash and a $5 LFL...loser. I think after looking at Jon's chart of the prize structure and comparing it to the old LFL, it'd be a good bet--no pun intended--to stay away from all variations of this ticket.

The retailer Product Plan for May on the website shows that the June games will be

                      $5 7's game

                      $3 5x Crossword

                      $1 Number matching game

No new $20 game for another month.

For now SuperLotto Plus is the hottest game to play since Powerball JP was reset last night.

I'm curious about the LFL games, can you win the top prize with a number match or is it only via a LIFE symbol?

Great, more boring games we haven't already seen a hundred times. Another $3 5X Crossword? That's all that's ever released anymore. That or the Bingo. The Lottery creative dept. needs some help.

Seems like all the winner stories I've read, each winner discovered the LIFE symbol so I would presume its via the LIFE symbol.

I've always thought the $3 Diamonds (find 3 or more) or $5 Hot Streak were refreshing, but still I agree with the lack of creativity as of late besides hte $500 Frenzy
