Diamond Millionaire getting hard to find now.  Current 2 & 10 LFL's look played out, IMO.  Happy to see new games coming out.

My corner donut shop has a scratcher ticket machine in the eating area and 36 rolls behind the counter as well (some games are represented via multiple rolls) so I figured that would be a good place to find Diamonds.  Low and behold, he had two different rolls behind the counter of Diamond Millionaire.  Went with my gut, picked up one ticket #35 and scratched off a 10X symbol with $10.00 as the prize, for a net of $90.  Hyper  Second $100 prize I have won, with the first coming from my avatar.

I don't think that particular roll will have any more substantial prizes, but I am tempted to return to grab tickets off the other Diamond roll that I did not pick.  Also am tempted to wait until the new LFL games are released to sink some of these winnings into the brand new game.  Curious to see what you would do - wait for the new LFL or invest in the other roll of Diamonds?  FWIW, it looks like the other roll of Diamonds was roughly 1/4 played.

For what its worth, this is the only local retailer I have found that has Diamonds for sale -- let alone two rolls -- everyone else.

You all rock!! Without your insights, no way would I have seeked out this game -- but with the obvious amount of prizes remaining and the scarcity of this game -- I got lucky today in seeking it out!Cheers

I would snag as many Diamonds as you can. I am also finding it hard to find them. I know a gas station which has it and I am buying one a day. So far nothing huge except a $15 prize ..I have lost on most so far.

Would you buy Diamond no 020?

      025 - $0

024 - don't know as someone else bought it

      023 - $0

022 - don't know as someone else bought it

      021 - $30

      020 - ???

Sales of Diamond is slow at this store so unless I go after 2 days, I should be able to snag 020.

Last DM I bought had pack number of 187289.  Have yet to win anything over $100 w this game.

Anyone notice how they added some prizes to $5 game 20X?  Not only are there more GP's but the odds for a GP have come down.

Never seen this before (odds coming down) & wondering if that's the case or just sloppy updating by programmers @ CALottery.

I am not sure the reason the CA Lottery does not have the website ready for these promotion as soon as the scratcher game is out. Not sure if they purposely want to reward people who pay attention to detail. I have seen all the warning signs ahead of time for each game to not miss out on any additional promotions (though I do not end up winning).

I reread the players lougne newsletter for the month and found this

These special drawings will be held once a week from April 27th to May 31st. Each week for five weeks, one 2nd Chance ticket submission will be chosen and a lucky player will win a prize of $5,000. These bonus draws are in addition to the normal Pool Draws and End of Game Draw.

I know Jon always questions the integrity of the webmasters maintaining the site, but I agree, its just getting ridiculous. The only thing I like about the new site is that it shows the remaining number of winning tickets for every prize tier.

Hey, the CA Lottery tells us on their website to hold on to the new Lucky Life tickets until the 27th for the 2nd chance program.  I don't recall seeing that kind of advance notice before on the odds and available prizes pages.  It's a good thing.  They may have seen our posts.

Ouch is right... Im sure it has to do with that weekly $5k drawing...  But they reduced the TP by almost half.  Crazy.  You have much better odds playing the $20 game to hit $5k....

Wow!  I know the CA Lottery was marketing the $5 and $10 Lucky Life games with easier to win middle tier prizes, but the pinch it put on the upper third prizes is harsh.  For example, in the $10 game the odds of winning $1,000 went from 1 in 30,000 to 1 in 900,000 in the new game!!  Plus, the reduction in odds for the middle/lower tier prizes aren't that significant either.

Disappointed in those new LFL GP & tier one odds.  5 & 10 dollar games w GP odds 1,2000,000 to 1 & 20 game tier one odds seem better to me.

Might play new LFL a little bit tho, only because  of the allure of the new game effect.

LFL is supposed to be more of a go big or go home thing anyways. Not many people who play scratchers regularly will win any of the top prizes.

Your odds of winning are significantly better through the 2nd chance drawings by entering at least 4 tickets.

They've certainly improved on the amount the low-tier prizes "Ticket to $100" for the $5 and $10 tickets. It will allow you to buy more as you play rather than eating your money without mercy.

With all scratcher games, anything over $100 has exponentially steeper odds.

It has more to deal with the input they got from various surveys. They do ask preferences to the player, and they have rolled out a game where there are many small top prizes $500 Frenzy and the huge jackpot prizes like LFL. Either way education is getting 15-30% of the cut.

If you do not choose the weekly payments, the CA Lottery takes even a bigger cut.

These new LFL tickets stink. Besides, doesn't "Life" for every other lottery in the country extend beyond 25 years? I'd be devastated if I only had 25 years to live. Pass.

I think it amounts to about 30 years at most in the fine print most states, but it is $20 to $25 or even $30 per ticket at ridiculous odds. They do offer a lump sum prize (a fraction of the potential prize). Most people who win these things are in their 50s or 60s. The lotteries can take such a gamble with that.

The CA Lottery LFL weekly prize is inheritable, but the beneficiary will be responisble for inheritence taxes for the remaining amount on the spot (not as money flows in). It is complicated.

Saw the new LFL games.  Didn't bite.  Got 6 5MJP.  000 to 005.  Had 100 & 20 Ws, so flat for the day.
