For those that play $5 scratchers, do you know why the Mega Crossword is so popular? The odds are the worst of any current $5 scratcher, yet my favorite liquor stores sell those like crazy and is listed on the lottery's website as a hot seller. Am I missing something?
I dunno, I don't get it either.
I don't like extended play games in general, like crossword and bingo. I guess people like them because it stretches their dollar (or $3 or $5) and makes it last longer. But yeah, odds and payouts suffer. Well, suffer for players, but more lucrative for the lottery.
I'm the opposite, I want the game quicker. Like Silver 7's you can with one quick swipe easily determine a winner. Wish they had a $10 game with a quick symbol match that you can swipe all in 1 line.

I'm not sure about how Scratcher tickets come out of the roll. One gas station I've been to sells the lowest ticket first and then sells everything else from the highest down (descending). I asked them about this and the cashier said they do this for auditing purposes. Why don't you ask a few vendors and post what they say?
They're somewhere at the bottom of the ticket. Ticket numbers are located after the code for the pack. They are separated by a hyphen. So, say you see this: 119696-23 at the bottom of a ticket. That's pack #119696 and ticket number 23.

Is that located on the front or back of the ticket?

That don't sound right. Sounds like someone there (the clerk) likes the 000 ticket number and takes it. And then loads the rest of the roll backwards so its not so obvious? Strange. I've been to stores where somebody always seems to take the 000 ticket, but I usually avoid such places. Fair places just dispense normally from 000,001,...etc.
Most places dispense in order starting from 000 to 079 for example. But some places, or some bins,(depends on the clerk I guess) load it backwards and it goes high to low, but that is the minority.
