Well today went better.  I bought tickets from two rolls of the $200MS at a store in Gainesville and I had these two winners among the results.  I gave some of the winnings back on the $10 holiday cash but overall a good day.

$1k win

$500 win

Awesome wins Gator! Looks like the Spectacular came through. Smile

That had to be a coincidence. If there was a rule that said there had to be X amount of winning tickets per book, it would introduce a flaw in the randomization of tickets that could theoretically be exploited.

It is a rule based off the rule of a min payout per book.  If you look at a game it has to payout a min percentage and based off a couple more rules like number of losers in a row and number of tickets a book there is a predictable range in number of winners per roll.

Each game is inherently different, but think of it this way.

$30 dollar ticket 20 tickets per book

I'm a computer program and I have to payout 290 dollars in a book min.  My options for doing this include 30, 50, 60, 100, 150, 200, and etc.

Based on my odds at 1 in 3.01 you can assume that there are at least 6 winners in the book.  So far every time this has been true.  I've scratched probably the equivalent to 100 of them.

Once you study the patterns you can predict what is left on the book.

I.E. One of the last two is guaranteed to be at least 30 bucks.  But watching print patterns makes the game predictables and thier payout predictable.  Knowing the min payout on a game is like having a golden goose in terms of knowing when to play and what to play.

This is typically for the min payout book on a 30 dollar game.  I've probably bought 10 of these and have been very disgusted each time.

      1. X
      2. 30
      3. X

Sorry to hear Skeptic. Wow, the Misfortune tickets have been really rough lately.

Hey Dracos -  I've been playing/buying just about the same recently as I have in the past months/years. BUT not winning as much - in fact WAY off from some of the older games like GR, GRT, Jubliee, BillionDollarBlockbuster, Millionaires Club, $200MS to name a few - I can't figure it out ? Take the current $20 Gold Rush - I've bought a ton and only got a couple $500's - when I'd buy about the same number of GRT - I'd get 3, 4 or 5 over a weekend - not so with this GR that states about the same odds for $500 as GRT .... something is different.

Look at Gatorsrok - the other day he found some OLD $200MS and got $1K and a $500 - that game has a total jackpot of only $200 Million - a lot less than some of the current 20 & 25$ games today with $600 Million pots- and it STILL spits out nice wins after paying out winners for almost TEN years  - my best on $200MS was $5K - I should have won $5K on one of the newer games just because I bought as many as I did playing $200MS ........ what's your take ?

            wins: $10,000 Jubilee - $5,000 $200MS - 31 $1k's - 185 $500's - 5 $400's

As a newer lottery player (I started playing scratchoffs maybe around October or November of 2015), it seems like whenever I read about the older tickets they had better payout rates. It doesn't surprise me, to be honest. I looked at the new tickets coming out this Tuesday, and the jackpots on them seem even lower. The $1 ticket is down to $3,000, for example. There's a bonus box on the new tickets, but I think that's a sign they are designed to generate more revenue.

I hear you. Whenever I buy the $20 Gold Rush, I've been getting burnt lately. When I first started playing scratchoffs, I was lured in by all the $500 wins I got on the new $20 Gold Rush game. I noticed the $500 wins tended to be between #5-13 on that game, and kept playing those numbers and found 6 $500 winners on one weekend. Now, I'm realizing that was just an extremely lucky spree.

I think you should consider just playing $5 and $10 tickets for a while to see if your luck changes. I've seen people hit very big amounts buying $5 tickets, more than they have playing the $20-$25.I've started playing only $5 and $10 tickets, and I have been doing much better on scratchoffs lately.

Hi everyone, I know this post is for Florida, but I am having the same bad luck in Texas. I have won a few hundred here or there but nothing more than that for months. I lost big this weekend. I went to my regular store and saw three $50 tickets in the trash (of course I checked them at the machine). Anyway, I bought two more and $0 back. I purchased a third ticket and won $50. So, out of 6 tickets ( 3 purchased by someone else) I got a measly $50. I previously got beat up playing various $20 tickets. Very upsetting to say the least. I really want to give up this habit. It is just not fun anymore. Congratulations to those of you that are winning. Skeptic, I know things will turn around for you. Good luck!!

So out of boredom I compiled this list for the new $5 Wheel of Fortune game. It lists the prize amounts for the game and the total prizes for each amount at the start of the game:

                  $5 - 1,200,000
                  $10 - 1,400,000
                  $20 - 200,000
                  $30 - 40,000
                  $40 - 30,000
                  $50 - 40,000
                  $100 - 50,600
                  $200 - 6,000
                  $500 - 5,000
                  $1,000 - 1,500
                  $2,000 - 200
                  $10,000 - 100
                  $250,000 - 8

As a lot of you like playing the new $25 Fortune game, I might put that list together shortly. Hopefully this is of some interest.

Wow, sorry to hear man! Is that an unusual unlucky streak on the $50 Texas lottery ticket? With a ticket costing that much, I would hope that big winners like $500 and $1000 would be fairly common.

@ Ghost - Thanks for posting all that information!

So, this Friday I think I'm going to take a gamble. I'm thinking about buying two books of the Holiday Gifts tickets. I had a local food store order a couple. I plan on playing through them, and possibly using the winning on some more of that ticket. I will post the results after I go through them. The Holiday Gifts tickets have been very good to me for the most part, and with 2 jackpots and other big prizes remaining, the odds of hitting $2 million on the Holiday Gifts (assuming both jackpots are still out there) with roughly 600,000 tickets remaining would be better than hitting a $1 million prize on both the Fortune and Florida Cash tickets.

Gator, what are your thoughts? Watch me buy the two books, and then a jackpot on that game be found right after in Coral Gables or Miami. I will literally never buy another scratch off if that happens, lmao. Sleepy

And since a lot of people are playing $10 Holiday lately:

                            $10 - 624,000
                            $15 - 416,000
                            $20 - 520,000

                            $40 - 62,400
                            $50 - 32,240
                            $100 - 85,280
                            $200 - 7,280
                            $500 - 2,340

                              Thanks Ghost, I appreciate it!

It is neat seeing the total possible prizes available. Definitely eye opening.

Wow, it is incredible that one of our posters Duck found a $100k winner on Gold Rush considering only 90 were in existence!
