Here's my story:
I played every year they had it, every time they had a raffle. Have never won a dime. I filed for bankruptcy and divorce this year. I am also owed 23K in arrears from my oldest son's father and haven't gotten a payment since May 2015. I'm a senior at our University for social work plus I am taking medical coding classes as my work is transitioning me to this field. Needless to say I am about at the end of my rope here with 2015. I heard about the raffle and was absolutely dead set against spending $20 as i'm now a single mother of 2 boys. It's one of those things--I make too much to get "welfare" but enough to scrape by, especially paying on braces for my youngest. Anywho, I said to myself, "well if I get an extra $20 somewhere I will buy a ticket" and thought nothing of it. Do you know December 3 I got a child support payment for $75?? Then I sold one of my university books for $75 and then another for $100. Still discouraged with life I decided it would be foolish to waste $20 on a ticket. But then my ex-husband encouraged me to do so. He said, "take a chance". I did and although I know my odds are slim there is a tiny spark of hope that i could at win. I would like to think the Universe is trying to tell me something, but I know that's just wishful thinking. Regardless, 2016 is going to be a great year; I will be done with both University and coding, hopefully getting a higher-paying job, paying off the braces and another small bill in February. Woo hoo!
Good luck to everybody!! I wish we could all win <3
