If this is true then the stated odds on the playslip are deceiving the public!

This is my opinion, in games such as pick 3 and pick 4, a computer means NOTHING to me whatsoever, in fact they have been only helpful EXCEPT indiana from what i've seen the others seem just as weird as everything else lol. But when it comes to Pick 5,6 anything with a big jackpot, using computers should be a crime. When that much money is at stake..........you see, with 10 digits, and 1000 combos its pretty easy to find a scam, but in a 30-60 digit game, they can do whatever they want, and we have NO clue

          Sorry, Justin.

I can't really follow your logic.

People, will 'scam' you as hard for $100, as for a million.

I've made almost all of my wins off of these scamming states!

            Works for me :)

CA and WI have been good lately.

              Justin,

I really think you're missing the point.  This is not all about you playing at , it is about ensuring that the state lotteries are operating with integrity and conducting proper drawings.

Someday you may find that your state lottery has a big scandal on its hands, because of computers being in the mix, which could lead to player erosion, which could lead to higher taxes in your state.

The many people who are contributing positively to this thread (and the petition) are doing so with that thoughtful, long-term vision in mind, not looking at a few short-term wins at an offshore sportsbook site.

Check the State Lottery Report Card
What grade did your lottery earn?

Yes i do realize that, only in my personal situation, i have noticed my state to have more frequent patterns. The pick 3 game altogether would be unprofitable for me without offshore casinos

I dont mean to be against anyone. But i like WI computerized, as where i HATE minnesota

Todd from one of your earlier posts

"I perceive that there are far fewer players who dislike mechanical drawing machines than those who dislike computerized drawings.  There is something real and comforting about seeing those ping pong balls come out of a real machine. "

Now i understand why i have no problem with computers in WI.

Ever since i've been playing our state never aired our drawings, our states been evil all along.

This whole computer/no tv drawings is about "cost effectiveness" why is a game played by CHOICE...and funded by THE PEOPLE WHO PLAY being treated like this. Its ridiculous. Cost effective? Its our money. Do they need any more profit??? They cant televise the drawings? Im still finding this stuff out. Screw Wisconsin. Although to me its personally easier, I cant help but be angered by their technique.

Lotteries are doing everything they can to make money but they have to work to keep the public trust in order maintain their reputation of honesty and full disclosure.

"Farming" out drawings behind closed doors smells about as above board as Enron, World Com and other such business practices which have proven themselves disastrous after the fact.

Why doesn't everyone send their lottery playing friends an email with link to the petition stressing its importance asking that they sign?

Have sent it out to several people resulting in some signatures.

                    Good luck to everyone!

I think the lotteries will be smart enough to understand that conspiracy theories will start to appear and that their credibility will drop if they go for computerized drawings.

Just look at the computerized voting lottery which kept Bush in power...

                        MillionsWanted,

Don't insult the wide majority of Americans - who voted for Bush.  Maybe you should stick to political topics from your OWN country (since you don't seem to have a handle on USA politics), and please put them in your blog, not in the public forums.

Todd..in computerized drawings, do these states insure that the machines making the drawings do not know what combo selections have been made by the players?  And has any group such as your organization requested such a guarantee in some form of writing?

                              Pigskin:

Every state is different and operates under their own set of rules, so I can't make one general statement for all states.  Generally speaking, the state claim that the drawing machines are not connected to a network, and to any other machine.  We have not requested anything in writing.
