Can an illegal collect the jackpot?
Not to be taken as legal advice. In the stories I've seen the answer is yes they collect and are deported. I've always thought it strange to give them millions and deport when they have just become desirable immigrants.I guess it's more of a problem when they win smaller prizes where they have to decide if it's worth being deproted to collect. Hence the basis for the scam where they ask you to cash their ticket because they're illegal if you provide good faith money for them to hold while you

The Pigskin Challenge for 01-19-05

Maybe, if one of us wins using an analysis of the Pigskin Challenge, then that person may choose to distribute $1 million here and there to the Challengers . Or they may wish to keep it all. I think either way is acceptable. When I post my numbers for the Pigskin Challenge, it's for fun. If someone uses

Which game is worse III
The pick 3 is the best game in the lottery, hands down. It pays you 50% of your odds back and you can play it so you don't get taxed. The jackpot games and scratch off tickets are the worst bets in the lottery world when you compare the odds-to-payoff ratios. The pick 3 is still a ripoff (with a 50% house 'take') but it sure beats the odds of the others. Look at the back of your payslips (for jackpot games) or scratch-off tickets to get the odds and compare your possible investment return on

Mega Millions Office Pool Advice
Thanks for your input everyone! Yes, Cash, for sure it will be specified that all tickets are cash value! How is life up in Mahopac? Tx, you bring up a great point...I think it would be smarter to keep contributions equal. Now, since this is my system, would it be legal to charge a premium? Such as, I get 50% of all winnings, and the other 50% is split among the 3 or 4 contributors? Would I have to contribute any money at all? This is assuming I can get a good enough system that people wi

Pwerball is the same in all states?
If you get a winning Powerball ticket you must redeem it in the same state you purchased it.Also beware you may be setting yourself up for a big fat state income tax bill if you purchase tickets in another state. Check your local state tax laws carefully. In Pennsylvania there is no state income tax on gambling winnings. The problem is most people don't read the fine print. There is no state income tax on winnings of Pa Lottery and Horse Racing. ( The only legal gambling we have within the state)

wow
ive never seen so many people worried about tax implications when they havent even won. who cares. when and if someone hits the big one, they should be smart enough to hire a nice big legal team of accountants, lawyers, and financial planner. maybe if you people click on the banners more, todd would hire a tax consultant for this web site to advise everyone. haha. lets be honest-who cares how much taxes you pay, if you are a human, i find it would be hard to blow $90M in cash. whoever wins thi

Is Powerball just going to rot away?
I was exaggerating a bit about the billion, but I think you know what I was getting at. Lets face it, people don't get real interested in playing when the jackpots are less then 100M. That's not enough money, but I doubt anyone would turn it down if it was handed to them. It starts getting around 500M and up everybody buys a ticket. People wanted larger jackpots, now they have them. With the 302 million to one odds of hitting the MM, every legal age person in the US could buy a ticket and
