California Super Lotto: NO WINNER FOR HOW LONG?!
I used to be super religious. Not that much anymore. I used to be afraid of praying for big stuff. Now I am not. Praying is not like mapping out a legal document with a minefield called fine prints. So now I pray for the SLP jackpot.

Would you tell and trust someone?
If either myself or my brother won, we would share. So, I would tell him. Then, we would need to find trustworthy legal and financial counsel. Not like the shyster lawyer the Robinson's from TN had. The only other people I would tell would be my long-time girlfriend, my kids and a few close friends. I don't need to drive a Lamborghini or live in a mansion.

Investing in the interest on jackpot games
As most of us know it many lottery winners have legal battles, drug issues, family issues, money issues, tax related problems, etc. If anyone were to hit a huge jackpot especially with these lotteries, how do you know what the interest is and what percentage would you take to make money on it. After thinking about this one I am actually in agreement. As everyone knows most people spend every dime and go broke. Just some thought from many of you.

Blind Trust States or Name Change?

Annuity or Cash??
OK Guesser, this is the prime reason for anyone who wins a MM or PB Jackpot to get a lawyer and a financial adviser before claiming the winnings! BTW I will have all of those people in place before going to claim the Jackpot! That way all of my bases are covered before claiming the Jackpot! I want to win the $179 million powerball.
Short of getting a crystal ball and being able to see into the future or have a time machine. The only system that is proven to work is luck and timing. To the poster, I really do hope its a lottery poster member that wins! Yet it would be bitter sweet. Then you would leave us never to associate with us wannabe's. Personally I'd be more interested in how life treats you afterwards and certain legal and financial questions. The money would be yours, so that is a non issue. Merely knowing that

Idea for Raffle Game?
Wow, great analysis! I wasn't thinking about those pesky flies, though. Hmm. But your idea of doubling of prizes in case of very near numbers isn't so bad. And the rolling round between the far ends might be confusing for some, but it could work that way. But it's probably a good idea to make a game as simple and clear as one can with as few confusing situations possible. Too many what happens if such-and-such happens might be not only confusing for some but also lead to legal

selling a winning ticket
I am sure you could, but a company with $70 million probably wouldn't want to get involved because of the possible legal problems, although making a $5 million dollar profit for cashing in a ticket is a nice chunk of change. How would they pay you? If they paid you $70 million after tax that would mean they'd have to somehow claim you as an employee, a contractor, partner or vendor and pay additional taxes? Personally, I don't see anything morally wrong with this idea, but I wouldn't

Wonder where the other half of 390 mill is?
Maybe a financial planner isn't the first person to call, but I certainly wouldn't claim my prize before seeking legal counseling. Regarding the annuity vs cash question, I wouldn't leave that up to anyone else. However, I would review various investment options and spend time running some numbers. Then I would decide what was the best choice for my individual personality and lifestyle. Have you ever seen Deal or No Deal? The audience is always yelling No Deal because it's not their money.

Online ticket purchases
Hello folks, Just checking to see if anyone can give me a reputable site to purchase out of state tickets. I am looking to buy tickets for the mega millions and just want to make sure this is totally legit and legal. What sites do you guys use? I live in Florida and I assume this is all on the up and up. Thanks, Cory
