Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
And in GA news, I am playing my favorite scratch-off of late, Holiday Gifts. I will say it again in case I haven't already: the overall odds are 1:3.99, with 3 of 5 $250,000 top prizes still out there. Yesterday I won, $20, and today, $40 on that ticket. Usually it is either $15 or $20 when you win, but it has been as low as $10. Now here comes the strange part: there does not seem to be any winners of a free ticket, at least not in the 28 tickets which I have purchased. And here is another surp

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I haven't said this in awhile so I just wanted to reiterate here: Full disclosure: I'm a retailer. I think it's unrealistic to expect the CA Lottery to keep a database for the tickets. We're talking about hundreds of millions of tickets here. To have it constantly being updates in near real-time would take a massive undertaking. And per ticket sales aren't communicated to the CA Lottery since the retailers method of inventory tracking (whether electronic or otherwise) is kept in-house and

Former Arkansas Lottery official admits stealing tickets
A retailer knows when scratch tickets are not from their store, the retailer number of the store where the tickets were sold are shown on the terminal screen. The retailer probably didn't know the status of the other retailer. More likely, he just saw suspicious activity, like Mazyck repeatedly coming into his store and cashing large amounts of tickets that were not purchased there. He then reported this to lottery officials, who then looked up the retailer number and saw that it was a closed

Cheated winner wants Texas Lottery to pay up
When the topic is man gets cheated out of a free can of Pepsi we'll keep you in mind, but this topic is about a man that bought Texas state lottery tickets from a licensed Texas Lottery retailer, took the tickets to a licensed Texas lottery retailer to be checked, and was scammed/cheated/hoodwinked/bamboozled/defrauded out of the true value of one of the tickets. Texas just like every other state issues licenses to various agents so in the Texas State law codes there is a legal definition of

Do you have to pay in cash for a lottery ticket and why?
Not all states allow payment in the manner that Mn does. http://www.lottery.state.mn.us/qanda.html#00 Q: Can I purchase lottery tickets from a retailer with a check, check card or debit card? A: Yes, if the retailer allows it. Minnesota Rule 7856.4010, subpart 16, permits retailers to accept coin, currency, money orders and checks for the payment of lottery tickets. Also, since the use of a check or debit card is the same as a check, the use of those cards are also permitted.

Retailers don't have to pay you for a winning scratch off
Nowhere did I see where the retailer did not have to honor the ticket. If this is true then the GA Lottery need to clearly state that so the GA Lottery players can make an informed decision on if they will purchase a ticket or not. Taken from the GA Lottery website... http://www.galottery.com/help/faqs Q. How do I claim a prize? A. There are many ways for players to claim Georgia Lottery prizes. A player must present a valid winning ticket, along with proof of current address an

Post your scratch ticket results
Got some great news and then some equally bad news. Yesterday I spent $40 and on dollars $25-$40 (when I bought three $5 Scratchers) All different games, I got a Win-All on the last one I scratched. It was a pretty exciting hundred dollar win!! Then at a different retailer, I bought 2 10X's, both lost. I picked up a 50X and got a $30 win! Bought 5 more 10X and got $7 back altogether on those. Went to a third retailer and picked up ten 10X's and won back $55! One was a 5X $10! I got snaps of the
