UK Lottery operator bids for Pennsylvania lottery
Pennsylvania received one bid in response to its search for a private manager to run the state's lottery system, officials announced Tuesday.
Gov. Tom Corbett's administration announced on Tuesday that a priced bid and 20 years' worth of annual profit commitments has come in from United Kingdom-based Camelot Global Services PA LLC.

Pa. considers expanding lottery gambling to Web
The administration of Gov. Tom Corbett said Friday that expanding Pennsylvania Lottery gambling to keno and online games will be one of the best ways to produce more revenue from the $3.5 billion lottery system that funds programs for the elderly.

A 70-year-old Pennsylvania man faces up to a year and half in prison for having more than 40 people cash in lottery tickets worth $520,000 so he could avoid paying federal income tax on the winnings.

Penn. newsstand sells $4.2M winning lottery ticket
Ann Marie Bossard couldn't speak.
She had just scanned one of her regular customer's lottery tickets, and the number that came up was the largest she'd ever seen for a payout at Anthracite Newsstand in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania: More than $4.2 million.
