quick pick or your own numbers

I hope more new members see this thread and participate. We've had many new members sign up since you first posted this poll, and I'd be interested to see how they'd vote.

Using Illinois Little Lotto as a guide, 47% of winners ( 5 out of 5) are QP's.

The info on the IL Little Lotto is interesting and is in line with the QP statistics from Florida.

I don't know if you've had time to read this entire thread or not, but on pages 12 and 13 above (assuming you have your forum display settings set for 10 posts per page), I posted some of the the QP statistics from the Florida Lottery web site. In many of the games, more than 50% of jack pot winners won with QP's.

What I found interesting was that in January 2005, 4 of 5 Lotto jackpots were won with QP's, and on January 1, 2 QP tickets shared the jackpot. In a game with odds as high as the FL Lotto, you'd think there'd be no way that duplicate QP's would be generated.

I do play a few QP's with my selected numbers for most games. Once in a while, I just play a few QP's alone, but that's mostly in the higher odds games like Mega Millions, Power Ball, Lotto South, or FL Lotto.

Not sure how other state's software is set up but in Georgia (excluding Cash 3 & 4) you can pick part of your numbers for a specific play and let the computer select the remaining numbers for that one ticket.  Pretty cool in my opinion especially if you're feeling only a couple of numbers!!

 I've noticed on some QP's when the results come in it will be missed by one, missed by 2, missed by 1 etc...So I've thought about going an extra $1 or $2 and doing the "up and down" thing using the QP numbers as a base.

That would still be a guessing affair though as to the ups and downs in the right sequence. 

That's a shame they kick it out.  Why don't you start a petition for them to change their software so it will do a QP on partial selection???  IMHO people would spend more $$$$$ if they had it set up like that.  Better to spend the extra $ on a number or two you're pretty sure will hit than leave it up to an RNG at the terminal to give you what you "should have."

i do too.it more or less shows what the majority of the players have on their minds as far as would they play quick picks,their own numbers or both.......

thinking about picking some of my numbers and letting the computer pick some on the powerball tomorrow.don't play it much but it is up high again.i'll pick 3 numbers and let the machine pick the others.kind of like a quick pick and my own numbers in one........

well i didn't do to well on the powerball,i think i'll try this on the lotto 5 tonight and see if i have any better luck with it.not a big a matrix so i should fare a little better this time....
