A few times a three number sequence has come out in SM, but since the odds are against it because three sequenced numbers come out so infrequently, I don't like to see them on my QP either.

Are you buying the QP's with the sequenced numbers at the store near your house most of the time?  If so, maybe that's a reason why you should try different stores more often.  I go to different stores because I figure if the first store I pick wasn't the right one to bring me a winner, maybe the second store will be lucky, maybe the third store will be lucky, and so on....   I do the same thing with the cities and towns, if the first store I pick is in Yonkers and maybe I picked the wrong city to get lucky, then I'll buy my second ticket in the Bronx,  and the third ticket in White Plains, and the fourth ticket in Scarsdale, etc...  I know I get carried away with this, but it has become one of my hobbies, and even though I haven't won a big jackpot yet, it's still a lot of fun!  I think I am having more fun trying to win than actually winning a big jackpot and getting the money.  One lottery clerk said to me that I shouldn't be playing the lottery because I'm retired and I don't have to work anyway (lol).

Another reason I go to different stores is that I think the same store might give me the same numbers on tickets, even though I ask for separate tickets.  This happened to my Mom on Saturday, she purchased two PB lines on separate tickets in the same store and she got the same PB number (last number) on them and it didn't come out, so right away she was a loser on two tickets.  This could happen even if you purchase tickets at different stores, but I think the odds would be against it.

Mom stopped playing Take 5 for awhile, but decided to play again and she won $18, when she checked her ticket on the scanner a few days ago, she was so surprised she won anything, she does better than me when it comes to purchasing winning tickets, maybe I should let her buy my tickets (lol),  she buys them all over the place, like I do.

It turns out that the guy who won the Extravanga scratch-off for a million in the store near my aunt's house changed his pattern, he usually bought lottery draw tickets, but this time he decided to buy a scratch-off and it paid off for him.  I have played my SM and PB in that store a few times in the past, but didn't get the lucky vibes from that store so I didn't continute to go there, but I think I had those feelings because my aunt and my friend buy QP tickets there all the time, but never won anything, but intellectually I know that doesn't matter, any store can produce a winning QP or scratch-off, a player just has to get lucky.

No... When I buy a QP (which is rarely for Take5, but for SM I buy them every now and then) I buy the ticket wherever I happen to be.  It just seems I get a string of three numbers quite a bit. (more than I'd like to anyway.)

Today I happened to be in Westchester County, so I bought Take5 in Pleasantville, but I only did player picks.

OK... here's my new strategy for Sweet Millions....

I'm playing $5 of partial QP's for tomorrow night.

    I've picked;

    5 9 34

    1 6 24

    20 27 37

    10 15 26

    3 16 38

And we'll see what the terminal picks to finish each line.......

Well the 2nd line of your numbers hit at least 2 numbers... as last night was 1, 3, 4, 6,  18, 21

I was able to get 3 out of 6 from last night but spent $4 so still lost $1 LOL

Yeah, I did have 2 numbers on that line. That was the best line I had, but I didnt win anything.

My partial QP strategy for last nite's drawing didnt work out all that well.  On all my lines, I picked three numbers and let the machine pick the other three.  Next week, I might try picking 4 on one line and let the machine pick the other two.  On a different line, maybe I'll pick two and let the machine do the rest.

Since this game is still new its interesting to watch as the stats are built as it grows.  For example the digit that hits the most so far has been

          24 & 4 hitting 27 times each

while the following number hit the least

          5 hit 11 times

so the next question is do you play the 24 & 4 and NOT the 5? or the 5 and NOT 24 & 4? or play aLL of them together???

Now I know how you guys felt when I was constantly winning something on SM week after week awhile back, and hardly no one here was winning ANYTHING, not even $3.00.  Now I am in the same boat, I have not won anything with my SM QP's for at least a month, it's very frustrating!  Today I sent Mom out for my SM QP's, she has been luckier than me with lottery winnings this year so maybe she will come home with a winning SM ticket tonight.

I can't wrap my head around how doing a partial pick and letting the machine pick the remaining numbers (like some of you guys are doing) would increase the chances of a big win,  I just can't get myself to do it (lol), I have to go one way or the other.  If someone wins with a partial QP, do the results indicate it on the NY Lottery web-site?  It would be interesting to see how many partial QP's are winners on SM or any of the other jackpot games.

Tomorrow I am going to Foxwoods, and I will certainly remember to play Mega Millions in Ct. because they have the multiplier, unlike New York's game.

The last time I was at Foxwoods, I won $500 after a few spins on a 50 cent slot machine and I took the money and went home, I was shocked that I won that much money so soon after starting to play the machine, and it was the first machine on played on that day and the last!

I was on the NY Lottery web-site tonight, and there is a list of remaining prizes on all the scratch-offs, it is printed every Monday.  There is a new scratch off ticket called Loteria and it has 4 million dollar prizes unclaimed, other scratch-offs still have unclaimed prizes of a million or more. If anyone is interested in the list, just look at the NY lottery home page, the one which lists all winning lottery numbers and click on the Loteria ticket to the left of the winning numbers, when a more detailed Loteria ticket is on your screen, you will see a link to the unclaimed list to the right of the Loteria ticket.

I'm doing the partial QP thing in a lame attempt to try to keep the machine from giving me a regular QP with a string of 3 or 4 numbers in sequence.  (But even doing a partial cant stop that from happening. The only way to prevent it is to do PP's)

Lately, it seems like the regular QP's I have gotten have a string of three numbers in sequence, followed by a fourth number almost in sequence with the other three.  Not too long ago I got  31 32 33 35......

Because I dont track SM numbers like I do Take5, I'll buy QP's for SM.  I just like to see my numbers spread out a little more than what I've been getting.  (I like 3 odd/3even, 3 Low/3 high, some numbers from each "decade" etc.)

All of the above said, I'm sure there have been SM drawings where 3 numbers in sequence have come out.

And no Jacal, NYS cant tell a partial-QP from a regular QP.  The ticket shows "QP" to the right of the line of numbers for both partial and regular QP's. Unless I keep the playslip, I dont remember which numbers were the one's I played.  The store clerks usually dont notice it either.  Once I had a clerk spot it and tell me I didnt have enough boxes colored in.  But she only saw it because the machine didnt read the slip the first time she fed it in, so she looked at the playslip and she noticed it.  I told her it was a partial QP, she had never heard of it, but she put the slip back in.  The machine printed the ticket, and she said "Well whaddayaknow!"

I had my eye on number 38, but then decided not to play it because it hadn't come out in so long, I should have listened to my first instinct because it did come out.

Anyway, I don't like the new NY Lottery web-site, it has idiotic graphics now, like the Sweet Millions numbers coming out of hatched eggs, it is so lame, I want to see lists, not wait for numbers to come out of hatched eggs. I think whoever revamped the site has scrambled eggs for brains.  I wrote to them to ask what happened to the remaining prize list of the scratch-offs because I couldn't find it, and they said since the site has been revamped it doesn't have all the features of the old site, but the old site is still working with all the same features it always had.

We had a SM QP winner in the Bronx in last night, when I buy my tickets in the Bronx, I don't win, why is that (lol)?   I bought my five dollar QP's in White Plains (I noticed the promo right before I was going to purchase a $1.00 QP) and I had four lines (half of the eight lines) with the first  three numbers under 10, so half my tickets didn't have a chance right from the start because the winning numbers started with 12.  If I picked my own numbers, I would have never pick three numbers under 10 on four lines, but I didn't want to take the time to pick out my own.

Note to GiveFive: NY Lottery must have taken the new site down, I can't access it either, it's lame anyway, with a lot of childish graphics, it amazes me that workers with dumb ideas have good jobs!
