I called the Tallahassee office to check to see how they reflect their top prizes while lottery offices are closed. We are all aware people may be holding on to claimers until lottery offices reopen to the public. I was advised the available prize count is updated after the scratch ticket is scanned at a lottery retailer. For example there are 145 $1M prizes for FRM. So today if someone walks in a store and purchases a $1M winning ticket, then proceeds to validate their FRM scratch ticket at

One ticket wins $15M Lotto Texas jackpot
For many years, the Texas Lottery s retailer bonus program has been an important retailer recruiting and retention tool for the sales organization to utilize. Decisions by the 85th Legislature and Governor on the FY 2018 2019 budget affect all aspects of the state s budget, including Texas Lottery operations. The $4.2 million annual retailer bonus budget was vetoed by the Governor and was zeroed out in the second year of the 2018 2019 biennium. The long-established bonus program will be phased

Hello all, im a long time follower of this forum but first time posting. I wanted to ask if any of you can confirm that the florida lottery knows when a jackpot or claim ticket is sold from a specific book the moment a retailer settles the book. The reason I ask this question is in response to Dracos saying the remaining 10M may become a ghost ticket. Last October 2016 an Orlando retailer told me their lottery rep told them they sold that 10mil ticket on fortune so i should recheck my tickets. O

Your other post literally says that if a retailer sells 5,000,000 (you wrote 5000k which is 5 million) of the new $20 C4L ticket, they get a free book of the old L4L (Yellow) ticket. Assuming it's accurate, who cares? So they get a free book of tickets to sell or scratch or something? Lotto does retailer incentives where they get put in drawings if they activate a certain game in the first week its out and other stuff like that.. I'm not sure why you care what the retailer does and doesn't ha

@ EMTAdam - I pray this isn't true and the lady simply made a huge mistake. Seriously! If i ever find out that the lottery knows when they destroy a jackpot ticket and can prove it via email or taping a conversation, etc. I will organize a class action suit that will rock the lottery world. This means that 100X the Cash appeared to end with a $5M prize and 4 - $1M prize remaining but really did not have ANY jackpot tickets left when they were selling full books like crazy the full 6 months prior

That's interesting that they shared that info with a non-retailer and then asked what retailer to send them to. Find a local retailer that'll take them and cherry pick the ones in the right range. (Actually working now to see if any of the ones on that list would be). On a side note, if I remember right what I saw earlier, there's 4 games coming Tuesday? Maybe the Tuesday after? Dunno. Was looking at a stores inventory list as printed from their machines and it showed games #1336 - #1339 (I t

Tipping the salesperson on a big win
Now that's a good example of a clerk who goes above, and beyond and it would be a nice gesture to give him a tip. The clerk who does nothing for you doesn't deserve a tip, perhaps if you win big and they are nice...maybe a small one. I agree with everyone above it is extremely annoying when they expect tips, or even hint toward receiving a tip. If they don't provide you information like This roll has had alot of losers on it recently, maybe something good coming up? , aren't super friendly,

Do You Play By Subscription?
New Hampshire offers subscriptions to out of state residents for Hot Lotto, Tri State Megabucks, PB and MM. You would need to go to any retailer in the state and buy the subscription. The retailer prints out a ticket and a form to mail in. The state will mail you your check after you accumulate $10 in winnings. Massachusetts also sells the subscription at the retailer and prints out the form for their Megabucks doubler game, PB, MM and Lucky for Life. I believe Megabucks is the only game the

$75,000 California Lottery winner leaves with only $75
The ticket was not real. It was never put out for sale. It was given to the inspector by the commission to test the retailer. It was not meant to entrap the retailer. But to see if the retailer would try to cheat the inspector.

Lawsuits against lottery playes
If only it was that simple. Signing the back designates a claimant, it doesn't mean they have rights to all the winnings. Office pools are a prime example. And for instant winner terminal games, which some lotteries offer, a winning ticket may immediately print out of the terminal. In those instances, the player has no opportunity to sign the ticket until the lottery retailer hands it over to them. This is where trust is extra important, because the lottery retailer could claim the ticket was
