If any of yall won the 10$ Lucky Life grand prize and ended up taking the lump sum of I believe it was 3.75 million, would you still continue to buy scratchers or no?

The first $10 LL TP was claimed.

Was as it you Kobe?

I promised myself that once that first TP was claimed, I would never buy another $10 LL scratcher ever again. What a boring boring game.

I would like like to know where it was won at if anyone knew.

Congrats to the winner!

The game is so far behind a second top prize could be due soon.

I am done with this game though, there are too many $10 tickets out at once with another coming in November. They are bleeding me dry.

Again in another small town's vicinity in NorCal huh. The 5/5 PB was also won in Fresno.

I don't know when the PB is going to start hitting spots all over SoCal. I do believe that there is more lottery player activity in SoCal. There is SD , LA and OC ..

The folks who won most likely were on a busy schedule with errands and stopped at the store for a soda etc, no intentions of playing the lottery and ask the cashier how much is the powerball and decide to buy that $2 winning ticket. And on top of that, they "rarely" play the lottery once or twice a year. LOL just a joke out of pure speculation.

Anyways, another grand prize for the $10 CA Black Exclusive scratcher was marked down.

On the CA Lottery Twitter page, the person who won the Powerball jackpot picked out their own numbers on 5 lines. Powerball number of 26 on each line.

Jeez louise, it took FIVE MONTHS for the first TP to be claimed! I bought two tickets way back in the spring and won $15 and $20 and swore it off forever after that; a boring game, indeed. Who's in charge of product development at Sacramento HQ?

          Speaking of product development

New games for October 27th will be

          $2 7-11-21 game

$3 Lucky Horseshoes (similar to Fortune 55 and Ca$h Up $5 games)

$5 Wild West Poker (another poker hand game)

$10 Emerald 10's (seems to be the 7's type $5 game with 2 $50 Fast Spots except you find emerald symbols to win)

Some HotSpot promotion will be on next month, but I'd still rather play video keno at a casino over it.

Yeah, I think the scratchers are getting worse.  I quit playing them altogether.  I still play various draw games on occasion, but I really cut back on those too.  I only play a few bucks a week now.  It feels good too.  :)

Don't blame you at all for quitting scratchers, seems like everyone here is gone.

I was wondering how your draw game play is doing? Daily 3/4, Fantasy 5, Daily Derby, SuperLotto Plus, MegaMillions/Powerball?

In subsitituion for scratchers this year, I've tried SLP on its climb to $70million as well as the Powerball 5/5+noPB climb to $7 million. I did not hit anything good worth more than $10, ROI losses was worse than scratchers.

Going to buy a few scratchers each month as a pot shot, that is about it with me and the CALottery.

I've stopped buying scratchers, instead I will be saving my money and buying 100 fantasy 5 once a month. Buying 100 tickets improves the odds dramatically.

Strong words...I am no exception. I wonder how Scratcher sales are overall throughout the state? There was talk on the threads on the $10 LL and Black tickets being busts. Wonder what the Lottery has in store?

CALottery is still the only realistic option for the common person to attempt to win $100k or million dollars, but comes at unfavorable odds, should be kept to a safe minimum so that is the reason I called it a pot shot. Casino gaming is the best option to try to win hundreds or even a few thousand, and maybe have a good time to go along with it.

I forgot to bring this up, last Thursday I got a survey invitation from the CALottery with regards to a new 2nd Chance program for scratchers.

There are 5 concepts they are looking at and will include some in their new system.

                        • $100,000 prize pool every week instead of $10,000 every 3 months
                        • More winners than ever without the top prize winner (a vague description)
                        • Each ticket is worth the number of entries by its denomination $1 gets 1, $5 gets 5 entries, $20 gets 20 entries
                        • Already seen in the Wheel of Fortune, a random number of entries per ticket entered
                        • Hundreds of players can win

They basically asked which one is the most beneficial to the least and such, but seems liek they are transforming it similar to the SLP/Fantasy 5 drawings. I mean it should happen since scratchers generate more revenue than anything they offer. I voted for 2nd and 3rd as the most important, and the 4th one as the least important.

Judging by this survey, I think the Lottery knows it has to do something, probably since their sales are declining. I see less and less entries for 2nd chance and games are reaching its end sooner than usual for the $1, $2, $3, and $5 price points.

Let me know how that goes biggwinner with your Fantasy 5 100 tickets. I was spending $20 to $60 a draw wheeling 25 numbers on Fantasy 5 and not getting even 3 number hits some times. So I switched to scratchers and spend about $30 - $100 a day sometimes but at least I see some return and play on my winnings. Im curious to hear how you do.

Same here. I have stopped playing almost entirely. When I do play, its $10 and I am done for the week.

Anyone know of a website that tracks CA Scratcher daily sales?

It can be done by parsing the scratcher stats using HTML DOM parsing and a simple database. It would be interesting to watch scratcher sales throughout its lifetime. Simple graphs could be done too.

If it doesn't exist, would anyone be interested in such a tool? I can put something together pretty easily.
