If I play a number and retailer make i like to know what ticket they are cancelling. It happened to me three times, First time they gave the wrong number and I won $40. Second time the girl cancel the number and I ask her what number she cancel and told me I brought it back for 50cents box and the number came out straight. the third time the retailer play the number straight and I told I wanted only box and the number came out straight.

Every lottery commission gives these to retailers to give free to players. Sometimes a retailer just runs out (like they sometimes do with playslips) but if you just stop at every retailer that sells your lottery tickets for your state whenever you see one, you are bound to find one that has them in house.

The Ohio lottery may well have a rule that says the retailer must buy any tickets the retailer prints by accident, but employees are agents of the employer and can't legally be required to pay for any mistakes or accidental damage. Of course that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of employers who will try to make employees pay for their mistakes, and plenty of employees who don't know better or cooperate for fear of losing their job.

I was at a busy retailer today and told the clerks what they were doing. They are actually telling their customers about it and most aren't happy. (Went back after a few hours). However, I'm not going to say where it is because the TN lottery wouldn't be happy with this retailer. I'm doing all I can and I hope that the lottery crashes and burns!!!!

If your in my state you have to pay taxes if you have a winning ticket of a dollar like on the big4 which it still does not matter because even if u get 50 cent tickets which still pays 2500 u still have to sign those pretty pink and yellow sheets. They give u 50 cent tickets so the retailer can cash them. If you have 1.00 tickets which pays 5000 for the big 4 it sometimes really hard to cash because the retailer may not have that much cash on hand!!!!!!!!!

It's in the U-S too. The California lottery last year charged a man who had his ticket stolen by a lottery retailer. The Fifth Estate covered that story along with the Bob Edmonds one. If you go to CBC.ca/fifth/ there's information about some of the U-S lottery jurisdictions where retailer fraud happened.

I remember once someone said they tried to play one ticket for five drawings but instead got five tickets for the same drawing because the retailer messed up. Therefore, when I decided to start playing the same Powerball quick pick for three drawings, I marked it on the form so that the retailer cannot mess it up.

Can the retailer screw up you winning?
What I mean by this is, sometimes I buy my tickets from a store that doesn't seem to have their act together. If I bought the winning ticket from them is there something that they don't do that would prevent me from claiming my prize? Or is the lottery system automatic and fool proof from human error?

I do not know which is worse a retailer that does not change the ink cartridges in a timely manner or a retailer that does not know how to operate the lottery machine or both.
