NC pre-test drawings
This is EXACTLY why they do Pre-tests...THEY know everyone..or mostly everyone uses the past to find a digit or a pair or an entire combination that is missing to to gain an advantage in playing so they can make some money..so what does the lottery do..THEY PRE-TEST to change up number flow so what was missing will most likely show in a pretest and now it is gone, and you have to wait longer for that digit missing or that pair that was misssing to come back.. Just remember this is the s

Stay here, or flee the country ?
Nice to hear Sir Metro's point of view. I used to travel a lot and no matter how beautiful the weather was on the island or how friendly the people were in the country, I always felt something I can't describe when the plane landed at Logan Airport. There are some situations in which I might take off, if you are talking about the hypothetical, but it wouldn't be to escape criminal prosecution. Who wants to be a fugitive from justice? As others have said, this isn't going to happen t

online gambling law
Legal Landscape of Online Gaming Has Not Changed Misleading news stories abound both online and in print regarding the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. The completely incorrect interpretation states that the new bill essentially outlaws most forms of Internet gambling. The new bill absolutely does no such thing. I have been analyzing legal issues for 25 years. I have gone to court thousands of times interpreting statutes and I have taught new lawyers the correct m

alohachief. Greetings. Search Indiana lottery and see what posts turn up (besides results and maybe predictions). We have a poster here (disappeared as of late) who thought he had pretty good reasons for a lawsuit against the Indiana lottery - 9 law offices toild him he did, in fact. Except fove were in Indiana and told him that since the state licesnes them they don't want to be in a suit against te state, and the other four were in Chicago and told him he had cause, but they we

After the Win: Who do you consult?
Quote: Originally posted by Dream on April 4, 2006 Talk to your relatives and friends. They sure will help you manage your finances. Just kidding. You should consult a financial firm like Merrill Lynch or other big firms. They will be able to help you with everything you need, setting up trust, minimize tax liability, invest and so on. Merrill Lynch? Google Merrill Lynch and key words like fraud and lawsuit! How about Paine Webber? I'm sure you'll come up with a few links! You don't have

The $29.95 Non-Believerz
Made tacos, went to the garden, just read this and WOW! I'm laughing. Where is your faith in humanity to do the dumbest thing they can think of? In 2005, a Romanian prisoner identified as Pavel M, serving 20 years after being convicted of murder, filed a lawsuit against the Romanian Orthodox Church, as God's representatives in Romania, for failing to keep him from the Devil, essentially stating that his baptism had been a binding contract.[12] The suit was dismissed because the de

I have a good idea on how to protect Lottery Winners! :D
As I explained about his particular case, he had been sued for part of his winnings by a co-worker so even if he had been able to claim anonymously, his identity was made public by the lawsuit. He also wasn't forced to go public ; Florida does not require a winner do a press conference. From the Florida Lottery FAQ: Florida law mandates that the Florida Lottery provide the winner's name, city of residence, game won, date won and amount won to any third party who requests the information; h

Lawsuits against lottery playes
You're missing the point. Your opinion is just as valuable as all the others saying lotteries should do this and do that , but it's not the lotteries making those determinations. Most legal opinions are based on something resembling fact and there is nothing in that story that story suggesting Laxmi Kant Bhardwaj violated any California Lottery rules. I would hate to think that this retailer sets a precedence where the rest of the country's lottery players get screwed over because of what

You in a Pool that forbids anyone buying tickets " on the side"-However..
Each of our players has signed a contract stating that they are allowed to play Outside of the Pool at anytime. But they cant have hidden plays with our ticket master. One dude tried this, so I booted his ass from the group. He tried this when the Mega was over $400 million!!! This kinda snip is what starts a lawsuit... All members have copies of Ticks purchased via our email dist list, to include monthly deposit $ transfers to our lotto acct. I also had to deal with this Hurdle

Litigation Proofing your lottery pool
If I read this correctly and the OP, you send a copy of the tickets with the names of the people who paid even to the ones that didn't pay? If so I would not do that. Reason being, that list of numbers could be a deciding factor in their favor in court. Who's to say you forgot to write their name on that list. -If they don't have a list of numbers with their name, -If they don't have some proof of reciept they paid, -if they don't have a copy of email addressed to them,
