Closest powerball state to New Jersey??
What city are you located in? If you have been to Pennsylvania before, just go here http://www.palottery.com/lottery/PALotto/retailerList.asp?lotteryNav=29736| and then type the name of the city. It will give you all the retailers in that city. Once you have the address of the retailer, head on over to maps.yahoo.com, click on driving directions on the top, and get driving directions to the retailer. Its that simple.Good luck for the drawing.

Speculation begins about NJ winner of Mega Millions lottery
I agree, if a business can't respect their customer's privacy, they will, and should, loose business. I certainly don't disagree, but if you've got the first clue about human nature you have to assume that any time a retailer knows they sold a ticket for a major prize there's a very good chance that they're going to look at any video they have. It's probably much less likely at a large store, such as a grocery store, and stores that are part of a chain. I know that some of the chain stores

Dealer display
Which lottery? From what I recall, some lotteries restrict how instant lottery tickets are sold; sequentially in ascending or descending order with no skips. First to digress a bit, retailers have detailed information that the public at-large doesn't have. For example, in PA, a retailer can know whether 90% of lower tier winners have been redeemed out of an instant ticket pack. From my limited understanding, will show up as auto-settled on the retailer's report. While such knowledge is of lim

Connecticut Lottery suspends 5 Card Cash sales after retailers found cheating
That's likely it. PA Lottery ages ago offered a terminal game Lucky for Life, which featured a $10 instant win component, which too would trigger a special sound from the terminal. Many players have difficulty with multiplay games, including instant tickets with a separate bonus play area; overlooking that part and tossing in the trash. Fastplay terminal tickets, which many states, such as NJ, offer, come with similar dangers and can be easily gamed by a retailer. All the more reason to play

so when you say "validate" a ticket
If you have a prize under $600, then just cash it in at a local retailer. I go to the large supermarkets where I know they'll have the money. Although every retailer is supposed to pay you, there are many who are reluctant to do so. Some people on this board have written that they have to pay you if they sell lottery tickets, but that's not entirely true. Depends on the circumstances. Although it clearly says to take your ticket to any lottery retailer, there is a disclaimer (at least in the FL

After alleged lottery ticket theft, store banned from ticket sales
These rules for cashing a winning ticket are posted at the Ohio Lottery website. If you win up to $599, proceed to any retailer location for immediate payment of your prize. If you win between $600 and $5,000, take your winning ticket to a retailer location, where you will receive a PAY TO BEARER ticket. At this point, you have two options: Obtain a claim form from the agent retailer. Follow the instructions carefully. Your retailer will have a list of bank-cashing locations in your are

Looking for my stolen ticket
Well, I proved that a clerk had stolen my winning ticket, after she told me it was not a winner. Then changed it to a dollar winner when I wanted it back. The Retailer has never had my validated ticket or cash authorization receipt, no ticket information was ever sent to Sacramento and recorded. This broke Lottery rules. But, here is the kicker. The Retailer was on the ballot for `the state wide school board election. So it was determined that I didn't matter. The Lottery has flat out lied to me.
